    Seems to be that OVH gave me a dead or badly configured server...

    Boots in rescue well and when I install OS from the panel or with debootstrap, it stucks at the reboot. On SoL I see nothing and the web-based reinstall stucks in rebooting state...

    let it hang in reinstall stuck and wait for technician to do their stuff via auto monitoring ticket. usually works after hard reboot. if not they will check it.

    I am interested in Alma9, but the latest OVH version is 8.
    Tried 1-click installers, netboot.xyz with "skill issue no luck".

    Maybe support can activate Debian 12 / Alma9 via ticket.

    So the issue resolved and all the usual OS’s showed.

    Then support replied to my ticket saying certain servers are only eligible for certain OS’s blah blah blah… 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

    I didn't check the prices, the Intel Xeon-E 2288G in that config, OVH sells it for around 180$.
    The EPYC is 3$ less.

    Deymm.. prices are through the roof! Though understandable. I think around €150 is already good considering it’s same specced as SYS-3, then after a month it’ll be at a normal renewal price.

    Should’ve gambled a bit when I had a chance, I really thought they’re just going to the deploy E5’s, but boom surprise! They deployed EPYC and E-2288G servers left and right. Well played, OVH. Well played. 😂
