Seems no one on LET even noticed that HT-Hosting deadpooled
They deadpooled over a month ago, just shut everything down randomly one day.
No one will be surprised by this, given how hopelessly incompetent they were, and the endless issues affecting all their servers for their entire existence. The level of instability they managed to achieve while using dataforest was impressive, really.
I still had nearly 100€ of credit on my HT-Hosting account.

Not randomly, they suffered some kind of hacking attempt with subsequent downtimes and started to offer free credits with chatgpt apologies. No wonder they went under when they relied on razor thin margins (if any) and unsustainable deals. It wasn't the worst operation just not suitable for running production workloads which applies to many other LET deals.
I'm honestly surprised this dosent happen as often. Providers are prime targets for sophisticated hacking groups.
I'm sure a lot of successful hacking attempts go unreported to save face/reputation but still
Tried ht-hosting once, just curious with their too good to be true pricing. Ssh always disconnect in under 1 minute, cpu steal > 50%, slow io. My massivegrid NY node is much more reliable than ht-hosting.
was somehow to be expected... thank god i bailed out in time.
Mates, this was one of the most unprofessional providers of German origin I have seen. (Apart from those prohosting / prepaidhosting clowns.) A real shame for the German hosting community.
Nodes were oversold as fuck, to the point of them just shutting down due to full RAM. I have never managed to get an uptime longer then 7 days due to constant server restarts / crashes. Trust me, I have tried and bought serveral VPS over a span of three to four years.
Yes, they had a breach, BUT, this was due to pure lazyness and unprofessionalism. There was zero security regarding the backend, it was publicly accessible. After losing all their customers data, they gave us a generic, AI generated text: "Sorry mates, we've had some troubles, Police is inventigating, oh, btw, we forgot to add any kind of security to our backend, we sowwy. Please contact us via support, as we have no backup data, we wewwy sowwy." After that they annouced that something like that would never happen again, multiple offsite backups, new strategy, bigger dicks, fatter ballsacks.
One week later they have lost almost all data again, due to a server replicating the wrong configuration. Again, no backups.
After that I have noticed, that servers got migrated to different, worse hardware.
Tl;dr: Do not trust cheap as fuck and to good to be true, potentially unsustainable deals from German providers. Its really easy for us Germans to deadpool a GmbH (Insolvenz). Most of those companies are run by something we call "Turbo Almanns" (a paraphrase for mentally immature know-it-all slow-thinking guys acting like they are the gods of professionalism)
Glad I've never had any important data with them.
If no one noticed, it doesnt matter.
Had used them for some months as testing environment, node randomly go offline and their Dashboard was shitty low. then decided to end up the game.
please check ticket #538705 , thanks
Not even summer yet, but I predict this summer will have a good amount of drama because of the unsustainable offers around.
If a hosting provider deadpools and none is around to notice it, did it make any money?
it's disaster broo
ht-who?
HT-Hosting
@wadhah my summer host
Imagine the trillions $$$ that will be lost
