I have a 25GB/$10/3y plan, but I was wondering whether I should use a promo code to get a 25GB/$7.5/3y. After calculating, I realized it would take more than 10 years to break even, so I decided not to get it this time. In other words, someone else was able to use the promo code instead of me
@musabee, just use google or microsoft everyone else is pain.
it already gone
Have absolutely no idea why this post has strayed so far. I believe that as long as your usage scenario fits the MXroute use case, their stability is flawless, and on the rare occasions when there is an issue, the jar is quick to respond to work orders and take care of the problem.
From a user who has been using this service for three years.
Although, occasionally, I have some criticisms in mind (certain things that don't seem important right now), it's hard to find anything more rock-solid than MXroute at this price point, especially if you're budget-sensitive.
Jar has done a professional job at an amateur price, and that deserves praise and admiration.
Unfortunately, I was late, it used. Anyway, thank you very much for this "crazy" discount
done
Not an expert (just a techie), nor a veteran here, but for what it worth I've been hosting my 4 domains on mxroute since a few weeks and the service has been flawless (and freaking fast!).
I didn't need to contact @jar at all nor I needed support (yet), but looking at how he (or his team) babysit their service makes me think that I did the right choice.
Good luck!
I've used MXRoute for years, and I also use NameCrane (as mentioned in this thread, they have offers as well) - both do the job perfectly well and you can't go wrong with either of them, as long as you follow the policies in place. Jar's are super quick to read, and both of them boil down to "don't be a dick"
NameCrane will eventually offer domains as well, but that's a bit off and you'll still be hosting your domain with Namecheap (who actually does have decent prices and coupons a lot of the time)
that was a lot of things, but I lost the legendary offer of @jar ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ anyway as far as I know @jar has grown mxroute as his own child so I trust in that and its not just LET I have seen people talk about mxroute on different forums, subreddits too about how good it is
Don't you worry, I took the deal while it was hot, I even burnt my fingers
Snatched one up too. It's now my 3rd reseller package from MXroute.
WAIT A SECOND YOU ARE THE RESELLER
I have been bamboozled!
I'm also still waiting for a handwritten thank you note Michael, I got one from the lovely @crunchbits (plus I think 3 dollars which I love even more)
Is this some kind of customer reply template used by costumers?
No way a provider would use this format... or is it ChadGippdy? ๐
@jar have you thought about sponsoring LetsEncrypt renewal emails and having like a small text banner saying "sent by mxroute"?
I think they sent me 15 emails now saying they are discontinuing emails because of prices.
yeah good idea tbh but they might have one of the largest email client too
But it's the perfect market for "self hosted email", since it's mostly people who self host stuff and hobbyists
I think they will probably stop doing emails altogether but perhaps it would be great to approach them with an offer, great suggestion.
I have a literacy skill issue so this took me some time.
Beautiful stuff. I didn't know you spoke Welsh!
Where's the welsh?
It was in jest about the unique style of handwriting, but seemed less tasteful when you added the edit..
I am hoping that the black friday 2024 class small package comes back.
@jar, first let me say that I actually agree with you about your thoughts on membership renewal.
Unfortunately, due to recent events, I have pretty much been rendered to 'observer status' as far as moderation goes. Alt accounts IMHO are flying around like flies on road kill here, you know who you are (and so do I). I know I have said it before, but the wait is almost over. I will clarify everything very soon.
