@NDTN Should refuse to do the transfer, should OP find someone willing to pay his asking price
+1
@rostovod
I have no skin in this, but as an outside observer, although I don't know if I'd call you a scalper directly, I'd find it difficult to believe someone FOMO'd half a dozen times through several years on the same provider.
Yes, you are within the rules to offer it at this price. No, I don't think you are building any goodwill if two thirds of your activity on LET is related to service transfers at a profit. Perhaps that is why there is so much animosity towards your thread?
I think me and my friends fomo'd like some dozens of deals, not necessarily flash sales over the last few years believe it or not. The ones I believe aren't hot selling I just choose to idle because emotionally I don't want to sell anything I spent time on at a loss even though in reality idling is a bigger waste. Someone made me looking like a scalping business owner making bank from few buck each time.
I can sell them at the cost but my time and me asking friends in totally different time zones for a favor to look out for the deals when I'm asleep isn't worth nothing. Some users lowball me in the PM as well so I might as well ask for more. Plus all the trolls, grifters, bullies, meddling users, price police whatever you want to call them above you only made me want to stick up to my them.
It's laughable a lot of them simply jump on the bandwagon thinking bullying me and harassing people who defended me is going to make them grab hot selling deals like it's a snap but we all know it's not happening. Can they get the non-transferable deals?
Funny how political correct this thread turned into. If you want them at cheaper price, be real and PM me your offer, not act like a moral saint.
In my country, we call you sb
Cockhost.com is not affiliated with this just want to make that clear
Flash sale servers should not be allowed to be transferred, otherwise there will be a lot of scalpers.
Maybe Green Cloud is happy to see people transfer servers, after all, it costs $10 each time.
Watching this thread while drinking my hot coffee.
bet they'd be even happier to suspend once the transfer fee is paid
this is one angry ass thread, aggression all around 😂
Nope. My interaction with @rostovod was for the first time today. Like I said previously, I only chimed in after seeing him getting attacked unnecessary.
Suspended due to high CPU usage. 🤣🤣🤣
None.
Nope.
We shouldn't reply to this post to avoid giving his deal more exposure. Let him keep his GC forever.
Sometimes people sell their old servers and make a few quick bucks. I don't see much issue with that.
But, when your whole aim is to scalp, it makes a difference.
We have had those in movie theaters in old days. They will buy in bulk and later, when tickets gets finished (mostly due to them of course), then they will sell at a higher price.
When you have no intention to use the server at all but aim is only to scalp, then that's predatory behaviour. LET Admins should make a guideline regarding scalpers like OP.
Scalpers will say that, since they were successful in buying the "rare" flash sales, they earn the extra incentives. But dude, if you scalpers had not been there, then others would not have to struggle that much at all.
You scalpers are solving a problem that is created by you in the first place.
Boycott
Renewal dates on Feb 18th & 19th means these servers are from this year's greencloud top provider event, which means they're not supposed to be transferred. Have fun, scalpers!
