  • Which one do you prefer?
    And why?

  • VLE-2 is cheaper by 9 cents and you do get 500Mbps unmerged.

    Is VLE-2 cloud?

    Is VLE-2 cloud?

    Yes? It is a VPS

  • It depends on your use case.

    Need a custom iso? Go for hetzner
    Need more bandwidth? Go for OVH-US

    OVH‘s VPS systems are normally not what I use, due to the restriction of their operating systems - and no option to mount isos. (You can do more with their real cloud systems)

    Also routing could be an issue (which I didn’t have found a problem on both)

  • Depends on the location you want.
    EU --> hetzner
    US --> ovh

    What if you don't give a fuck about location?

    I personally do not recommend Hetzner's US region after reducing traffic. OVH has unlimited traffic unless you need a lot of bandwidth, because Hetzner Cloud's bandwidth is 10Gbps. If you are in Europe, I would recommend Hetzner.

    In addition, you should consider other needs. For example, if you need DDoS protection, OVH is the best choice. If you don't need it, Hetzner Cloud's hard disk read and write is faster, while OVH has restrictions, although it is enough.

    There is also a billing method. Hetzner is more flexible in terms of intranet and object storage.

    How about Netcup RS and Hetzner Cloud in comparison?

    Netcup has a good price/performance ratio. Although Rootserver G11 has disk read/write limitations, it is sufficient and has relatively loose resources. The only problem is that the billing is not flexible enough. It cannot be deleted or created at any time like Hetzner. It also does not have the same defense as OVH.

    If you choose Netcup, it is recommended to choose the United States. There are many download users in Germany, which may reduce the server performance.

    CPX11 will offer improved disk and network performance. VLE-2 provides unmetered 500 Mbps bandwidth with DDoS Protection. Choose based on what your app needs most.

    Happy to hear that, thank you very much!
