  I don't know how many requests are DoT vs. DoH, as I don't think AGH lets me see that easily, but checking individual queries I see mostly DoH and some DoT.

  I only have these two... I really want to set up a cluster-responsive DNS service, like Kubernetes + CoreDNS, but it's quite complicated.
  

  My set up isn't all that complicated either:

  • dns-01.example.com => Main AGH
  • dns-02.example.com => Second AGH
  • Main server also runs adguardhome-sync

  Then example.com (root domain) => CNAME (flattened) both dns-01 and dns-02. Then I just let god take the wheel.

  I guess a lot of people don't care if some random can see what domains they're visiting, they just don't want it to be "the man" who knows, where "the man" is their ISP or their government. Of course, HTTPS SNI makes that probably a moot point anyway.
