Anyone else got the promotion email for their spring sale w/ better prices than the website?
E.g. KS-LE-1 promoted at 13.99 € (incl. German VAT) instead of 16.99 € (incl. German VAT) and w/ NVMe disks instead of SSD, etc.? It's OVH all over again, left hand does not know what right hand is doing.
(by the way, if you are looking for great dedi offers, look out for the "spring surge sale" by one of the providers active here at LET, that spring sale is lovely. But OVH? Lame.)
I don't think OVH does NVMe disks on their non-ddr4 offerings. I didn't get any of their offering for CA but I got something in the US side instead.
Indeed they don't, but this is the mail
yes, and the prices would actually make more sense too.
13.99€ for the KSLE1 and 30,99€ for the SYSLE1
Just noted Rise-S1 is available in FR now.
RISE-S2
Private Network (vRack) +
64,99 € without commitment
Localisation: Roubaix, Gravelines, Limburg
https://eco.ovhcloud.com/fr/rise/rise-s2/
P.S. An interesting detail – page https://eco.ovhcloud.com/fr/rise/rise-s/ redirects to page https://eco.ovhcloud.com/fr/rise/rise-s2/. So, congratulations to those who managed to get the Rise-S.
Still works https://eco.ovhcloud.com/fr/rise/rise-s1/
Who's the provider?
Rise-S with vRack Services
Rise-S1 without vRack Services, Rise-S2 with vRack Services.

KS-C / Intel Xeon E5-1650 v2 / 32GB DDR3 ECC / 1x 120GB SSD -> Approx $14 + Setup
Eww wont be touching either of these
Worse specs each time higher price make it make sense
Both have E5-1620 v2 with 16Gb ram (ouch) and 120GB SSD.
And the goddam java IMPI
make that make sense...?
I've just ordered one of each so will see
We really did get blessed with the flash sales back in November everything else is shit in comparison
12 year old SSD with that wearout score, I think that's a record for me:
233 Media_Wearout_Indicator 0x0032 046 046 000 Old_age AlwaysThe KS-C is to spec, but I've been blessed with a 160GB ssd!! I don't know what I'd do without that extra 40GB.
KS-B to spec, no free SSD upgrade
