[Request] VPS with BGP for IPv6 in Frankfurt/Poland with Unlimited Transfer

Hello LowEndTalk community,

I'm currently looking for a VPS provider that offers BGP session capabilities specifically for IPv6. I'll be using this server to run a TunnelBroker service for IPv6 tunneling (SIT/GRE), serving approximately 50-200 users.

Requirements:

  • Location: Frankfurt, Germany or anywhere in Poland
  • Bandwidth: 1Gbps is sufficient
  • Transfer: Unlimited/unmetered
  • BGP: Must support BGP session for IPv6
  • DDoS Protection: Would be nice to have, but not mandatory
  • CPU: 2-4 cores (running Go-based tunnel management software)
  • RAM: 4-8GB
  • Storage: 20-40GB SSD

The service will manage IPv6 tunnels with rate limiting (50 Mbps per tunnel) and will utilize PostgreSQL for backend storage. The TunnelBroker software already implements basic DDoS protection mechanisms, but additional provider-level protection would be beneficial.

If anyone has recommendations for providers that offer these features at reasonable prices, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've looked at a few options but wanted to check with the community for their experiences before making a decision.

Thanks in advance!

    Anyone? :P

I think you might want to talk with @v3ng - they can surely set you up with a BGP session in Frankfurt :-)

The question is whether you know what you're asking for. Some people ask for "Unmetered", which can be regarded as a guaranteed 1 Gbit/s flat, but can also be seen as a fair use cut of say a few TB.

You might want to share your realistic usage, and whether or not you would be open to simply pay for your usage (e.g. 10TB included + 1 EUR per TB afterwards), to help providers to align your request into their respective scala of offers.

Unmetered is unmetered, but I think I will not use more than 20-30 TB max, with average usage around 8-15 TB each month based on my previous experience with a similar service.

The main concern is DDoS attacks - these can make your transfer reach limits very quickly if the bandwidth is being counted. That's why I'm specifically looking for unmetered options.

    Alternatively, I could consider:

    • Unmetered at 100Mbps
    • 1Gbps with a 30TB transfer limit

Either option would likely work for my needs.

Thanks @allthemtings @RickBakkr. I've sent a PM to @v3ng, but I'm not entirely sure if they're the right person to contact. From what I can see, they might be offering IPv6-only VPS solutions, whereas I need at least one IPv4 address as well (ideally with DDoS protection on that IPv4 address).

    Hi!

Apologies for the late response, I've just seen your PM.
We do offer full IPv4 connectivity, but our website is fairly outdated and hasn't been updated to reflect all the changes and investments since.

DDoS protection is also included for both IPv4 and IPv6.

I will get back to your PM now. Let me know if any further questions pop up!

    Cheers
    Ian

  • Check bgp.services .
I believe vserver.site , servperso , and glauca.digital have LocIX peering ports available.
