  Well at the time before Canberra was Canberra and they were working out where to have the capital, it was probably some lovely fields here in the middle of nowhere. They then ruined it by building a capital city.

  I love the way they went fuck it and just chose a place which they thought was halfway between Melbourne and Sydney

  “middle” was an interesting concept but. Its a 3 hour drive to Sydney and 8 hour to Melbourne.
