Antivirus / anti-malware tools

LeviLevi Member

Looking for a tool to scan hosted websites in order to catch some predators. So far, investigated / tested:

  • ClamAV - a joke;
  • Maldet - requires customization. But works okay'ish;
  • ConfigServer eXploit Scanner (cxs) - this one is interesting. Does anyone used it?

I do not look for services like specialized Wordpress malware removal which has monthly payments.

  • clamav is a offline version of microsoft defender that runs on linux, it does not check web hosting(maybe custom definition can do this)

    Still use it (cxs). Works fine at least against PHP shells and similar scripts.

  • We had some thread about this earlier, where providers where tagged and they shared their experience, might be useful to take a look at that, IF you can find it using LET's glorious search function

    There was a discussion about Bitninja and similar tools. I don't need those tools.
