Same.
Sorry about that @jar. Was using a VPN that was blacklisted and on my phone so could barely see anything. False alarm, I apologize.
@jar wde1.wndp.pt is down for past ~2 hours
actually the server is up, but the websites are unreachable.
Yeah, the mail server seems to work and receive emails, but it is spotty.
yep wde1.wndp.pt is having issues... getting 500 and 504 errors...
It's a sign to pack your things. At least the panel is available. Move to another host ASAP. Until when do you guys expect @jar for bleeding money?
MyW should not be used for production until @jar makes an announcement. People should have made backups months ago. We even had a Black Friday event until announcement was made.
I want MyW to not struggle, be it one way or another. I have expressed previously that I would happily pay a yearly fee in order for a reliable service.
@yokowasis and @default yep yep we all know, we all heard it before and repeating the same things does not change or help the current problem or even maybe improve in the future, i personally moved all the essentials out, but i still keep a couple sites running there, and i have plenty of backups...
but thats me, i'm sure there are people that maybe cant, others that won't, doesn't mean i dont trust @jar, are you saying we cant come here and just point out that the service is down without getting a ear full that we are being dumb and somewhat exploiting @jar?
I am not calling you "dumb" nor am I trying to insinuate you exploiting someone else. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am just stating how things are. MyW is kept alive as courtesy by MXRoute. The reasoning behind the decisions is irrelevant, what matters is that such environment is not well for production, because it is not yet clear what will be its future.
The fact that you still keep some sites there means you still need the service. It is not my place to criticise your decision. But just like you publicly state some facts with regards to downtime, I also try to help with a public reply with facts about the environment's status quo. My intent is to try and seed the idea that: "maybe" it is time to move on.
In my opinion MyW would be good as some temporary development platform, nothing critical, nothing major.
There are a lot of other reliable provider that would happily accept your yearly payment. Just go with one of them. Like it or not MYW is Deadpool. It's not even struggling. It's dead.
Websites currently not accessible: Most likely, only a single service (e.g., Nginx or PHP-FPM) has failed and just needs to be restarted. In any case, we would be informed if the servers were to be permanently shut down. @MikePT and @jar are reliable business partners and would never shut down the service behind their customers' backs.
@default you do know that adding "" to dumb... can mean irony or sarcasm and then you proceed to insinuate and criticise some more... also like jar said this has nothing todo with mxroute...
@yokowasis repeating yourself doesn't make you magically right.. and i think @jar would disagree on that...
wla1.wndp.pt appears to have just gone down as well. Again, could just be a single service, but just noting it.
Sites are back online guys, was able to sort it for you.
wla1 is online, what issues are you facing exactly?
Edit: Jarland is checking wla1
@MikePT My monitoring alerted me that it appeared down or inaccessible. I'm unable to load DA and the IP isn't responding to ping from my ISP. It is responding on another ISP, so I assume it could just be a network issue of some sort. It had been working fine for the past several months before this.
Server is just stuck, jarland is on it
why tf u want to use it for prod lolol
WLA1 was running quite slowly. I turned it off and back on again.
@jar thanks. working well for me again.
Sorry I am confused. Is the IP address "104.231.221.20" or "104.238.221.20"?
@jar If you don't have much motivation for the project you're welcome to DM me how much in recurring costs it's flushing down the toilet right now. I would be happy to maybe do something with the brand depending on how much. Baring in mind I've got a wedding to pay for. 😄
I wouldn’t use it for anything critical. I’ve no plan to shut it down and I’d notify everyone if I did. I’m also not currently making an effort to improve it or prepare it for doing business again. There are simply more important things for me to be spending time on right now. But I do intend to keep it online right now. No one is being invoiced and MyW has not accepted any money since it moved to our hands. It’s not a graveyard, but it’s hardly a cruise liner.
But a low-end wedding should save you a lot of money
(For some reason, I thought that you were already married
)
I wish you a marriage with lots of love @MichaelCee and a happy wedding whenever that is.
Yeah, that was annoying.
or dont marry at all, gonna save you even more money lol
