    But for prod just having Debian on everything is easier IMO, I try to run Debian even in containers

    I still run Alpine when it’s the official image and it works great though

    Exactly... I don't know much providers still alive and kickin who offered insane deals like this. Virmache probably the only one... That being said, limited offers is the keyword, it's relatively cheap marketing if you play your cards right.

    Virmach started out really good and I used to recommend them for cheap unlimited shared hosting, but they are horrible now. Not just the hosting, they owe me commissions that have been requested numerous times, ignored and gone unpaid for years. A buddy and I researched the owner and discovered some shady stuff in his past. I may be filing with small claims court, just as a matter of principle.

    I almost exclusively used debian but I wanted to try it out and i'm kinda falling in love, it feels way smoother even on shittier hardware. The entire system with python and docker is using 400mb storage and 90mb ram. You can't convince me it isn't magic

    So glad to be rid of all my Virmach accounts except one that is free shared hosting, which I may also cancel. I had some really good deals locked in from way back when and cancelled them all. Next step is small claims court to get the years of commissions that Soheil beotch still owes me.
