Honestly, let's be honest, we are never finding these deals again until next BF (if this big of a sale ever happens again, that is). It's an investment for the future.

That's what I said a few BFs ago and now I can't seem to find those investments (though I assure you I've been diligently idling them and ensuring that the lights stay on).

And it's not until next BF... it's until the next sale whatever that happens to be.

Well my reasoning would be, if I find same or less specced deals from less known providers, I would stick to what I have.

Apart from some crazy 7 bucks per year 10 bucks per year kind of good deals, I wouldn't buy. I bought like 20 VPS since BF 2024. And before BF2024 (past 10 years) I had like 2 VPSes top.

I did it worse. Typed the code, got 50% off, went to purchase, and got... a full price BudgetKVMDE-3 invoice. Seems I was too slow after I already picked proper product or something. They kindly cancelled invoice for me :)

On a serious note though, GC does have good quality stuff (so far anyways) and that's one of the reason they are popular - reliable, affordable, quality, location blend - all in all worth it. Like with everything, have backups.

Snagged one too. UK has been very difficult to get on a flash sale (for me anyways) and they've been consistently out of stock for some time. Not sure why.

Well it's also nice that they got precautions like making deals non transferrable, or using Grok to generate codes in images (also shout out to @FAT32 for coding that). So they fight against scalpers I would say, or at least took some action. At the end of the day they would still get their money and don't care if someone sells it or not.

TBH, it's a bit weird that it seems to only occur on one node, and IMHO those speeds look a bit very low for NVMe, even if there is high usage. And it's a bit weird that the speeds are always basically exactly the same.

Edit: but of course I'm not excluding that it's because of high usage.

    Nice first impression...
Edit: forgot to blur the name

Well they have a point thou, just check the overall performance in a day or two and if it's still an issue, then we can take out the pitchforks

At least till the deals are over.

TBH, it's a bit weird that it seems to only occur on one node, and IMHO those speeds look a bit very low for NVMe, even if there is high usage. And it's a bit weird that the speeds are always basically exactly the same.

I would say exact same speed means they are limited at some point? I don't think that speed difference will be any noticeable

How do you know they did it kindly?

That's the expression I learned from our local MJJs here. It often means the exact opposite or nothing at all, but don't ruin it for me now!

Maybe they added "kind" in front of reggards, in the ticket reply?

Well, I got no deals that were especially interesting for me.

@nullnothere said: Because you have one of those magical GH dedis at some insane price?

That as well (around $3-$4 per month).

    That doesn't make sense.

We all understand (and envy) (2) above.

That has nothing to do with (1) though. A deal is interesting because there's a line and folks are trampling on each other to get it - so you get in line and do the same and just buy the damn thing.

You think later (if at all).

Anyway no congrats on that dedi. It was totally deserved rigged.
    $4 a MONTH...oooohhh...

That was my thought at first, but as multiple users are having the same problem, I don't think it's because my VPS is limited (Unless I'm misunderstanding you somehow).

I may just be dumb, but I don't really get what exactly you mean with "that speed difference"?
