wrong time and place i guess i've seen it drop about 4 times now this whole thread
i know dude, i've got unlucky all 4 times, i don't know what to do anymore
Will there be any deals for new customers by any chance? I assume this is due to MJJ?
Which one would you call the better deal though? I'd say the 9950x
scramble through your pool of 400 idlers im sure you'll find something to fill that hole
NDTN giveth.
Crowds plucketh.
NDTN re-giveth.
Just appreciating the generous restocking that's been on going through out this thread (esp. after the VIP quota system has come into place). Thanks.
Seen so many people ask this throughout this thread and miss all the deals due to not being an active customer, just buy the cheapest possible item on the site and then you can enjoy all the deals you want - the coupons and deals finish tomorrow afaik so you still have time to get some
Suffering from success
You didn't get used to not getting a deal back in megathread.
imagine not being the owner of the official crunchbits tape
9950x is only in LA, so if you are looking in other locations thatโs an issue.
8.88 servers are 1 core 2 ram. Great to idle but might be a bit insufficient for bigger operations.
9950x 1 core 2 ram 7.5 usd per year is a bargain. 2 core 4 ram for 15.5 disk is steal. I paid double and got the 2 core package.
It's just statistics. Eventually his luck had to run out. Come on... getting to 400+ is not all sheer hard work. There's a fair bit of rigging (and luck) involved.
Yes.
me
it's not luck running out but timezone
Active customers only now to avoid bots/scalpers.
I know it will be rigged but rigged duck race is better than no duck race
Bruh
Or of that historic cable that transmitted the first crunchy bits from one end of a constipated chicken to... never mind.
How can I be sure that our servers are actually idling and not doing some funny business when we are looking away?
Since you are here, idling is inevitable.
There's still a lot that will happen before we hit 1M and I think you're luck may just restock itself sooner or later.
Plus there's relaxing music. @emgh liked it as well. That puts me in good company.
I still miss the quiz of @emgh. Only time I felt educated.
There will be another duck race in a few hours from now, keep an eye out ๐ฆ
I understand your point of view, and I would agree if I needed the service for something useful, but I don't see a valid reason to buy something just to maybe have a chance to buy another service which I will idle anyway, like the rest of VPSes from other providers.
If NDTN prefers these deals for existing customers, I'm fine with that, that's the strategy. I just asked for confirmation.
Can I bring my own duck to the race?
it s no possibel
You can never be sure enough. That is precisely why you'll see a lot of people (like @zGato and the thin dude) pick up more - you setup a monitor to ensure that they're idling. Of course then who watches the monitor? So you get +1. This continues till either deals run out or there's no more money.
There are ways around the 2nd problem but more of that later.
I need to check that they're all idling as expected...brb
Rigged
helps avoid scalpers/bots instantly getting everything, but i also see your point
