xTom as in AS8888?? They have GSL as an upstream. Excited!

Actually it appears that xTom's SG prefixes only have NTT and PCCW as an upstream. GSL only applies to their AU transit.

pinging xTom gateway on one of their SG prefixes - not very pleased by the results. Their local connection is extremely jittery. There could be a chance this is due to ICMP rate limits on their gateway and that when GC migrates over it may not be this bad.

Pinging from various locations in the EU, I've noticed the pings have doubled in some cases compared to Datacamp/CDN77. Ironically VirMach which also uses xTom's transit in Amsterdam is using an inferior route to xTom SG.

Ping from AMS to SG xTom:

rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 249.134/283.477/376.832/54.031 ms

@xTom is not providing a looking glass nor selling V.PS for this location so this is as far as I can dig for now. Intentionally... I guess?

This is just ICMP rate limits on the router. Pinging a random IP is fine.

Our international bandwidth upstream providers in Singapore are NTT and PCCW (which we plan to replace with GSL in March). Additionally, we also offer China Telecom CTGNet (CN2 GIA), China Unicom Premium, and China Mobile International as premium options for some Chinese customers if needed.
