What's the catch
Hostsolutions type RAID
Is this the real price? I see on their page that it's 10G unlimited.
I heard about them about two years ago and was still shocked at the price. What is the real rate? Do they have a potential request rate limit or bandwidth usage limit or something like that?
If they were owning the hardware, I wouldn't say the price is impossible, but it's definitely unprofitable.
---- update ----
Well, I found this in TOS:
It seems they have a vague anti-abuse rule that warns or blocks accounts when you use too much bandwidth.
For those who want to buy this and have a similar use for it, I think you have to set a lower transfer thread in Rclone, or no more than 6, otherwise it could easily be considered abusive.
Max i can do is 7$ not 300e
opendrive also boasts "unlimited" at $10/month and you can even mount them via rclone. the reality is that they cap your speed after 10TB to 1mbps, but the worse part is that their storage suffers from bitrot. you access your files 2 years later and everything is either corrupted or not found. I doubt quotaless is any different.
It's not like iDrive. You won't be limited after 10TB.
The speed is up to 10Gbps per node/server, and you can connect to more than one server.
Even though there's a warning about using apps, this restriction isn't enforced.
I'm certain /r/datahoarders will change that for everyone. Waiting for the guy to pay $250/m dump a PB on it.

I was one of such guys. Was using about 1,1PB cloud storage
this uses PureVoltage which we just abandoned due to speed issues
Seems legit. They are storing the data in RAID 10 on unlimited TB USB drives from Temu.
I haven't used them but some people on Rclone's forum who were jumping ship from Google Drive after it ended unlimited storage tried them and didn't have a good experience:

The same people recommended ihostart:

Make of that what you will.
