I think ultimately things happened around UTC 0400-0430 (so a likely +1 hour delay over the estimate).
Due to popular [*] demand, I'm producing my next estimate (subject to usual revisiton).
@NDTN has indicated that they're gunning for 1M views. In keeping with the spirit and tradition of this thread, next milestone is 900K.
We're now at ~836K (~64K to go to hit 900M) at UTC ~1300.
Estimate: 900K (+ ~64K) at UTC 2000-2030 hours (~ +7 hours from now, maybe a bit sooner if the cooperative community drives up viewership with their fun posting).
I think the big deals are over (95%) and I'm not sure if there's anything special for 900M which may drive up the views as we near. There's the big prize for 1M.
