    i downloaded reinstall.sh

    than

    bash reinstall.sh windows --image-name 'Windows 11 Pro' --lang en-us

    it said

    windows
    Username: administrator

    Reboot to start the installation.

i did reboot and after few hours RDP and SSH does not work. Did i miss something?

it may not work on dedicated server because the vary of network card driver

Is it possible to set up custom variables like RAID0/RAID1/LVM?

no. because i dont use them

You can put an Issue on GitHub. Maybe someone else can do this for everyone.

  • direct link not available anymore

  • Does not work on fiberstate dedicated boxes. 😅 nearly bricked two of them today. Took a few hours to fix.

  • Can anyone put a tutorial?

The github Readme is confusing a lot. May be I am not getting the sequence that I should follow.

Suppose I am on a windows server and want to install it. Should I execute it in powershell? How will it boot if I am executing from the server itself?

If I need to change the boot sequence, then will this script download the iso which I'll mount?

And what about the MBR/GPT conflict?

Do you not have IPMI access to them?

I do, but I've never used it before. Took a while to figure out how to get into bios and fix it eventually. I'm not sure what went wrong but booting from a virtual cd then formatting the drive entirely fixed it. The partitions were there from the original/new ubuntu instance but trying to boot from them just resulted in errors.

This didn't stop me from trying again and breaking it to the point I needed to submit a ticket for help fixing it. Probably something that could be fixed if you knew what you were doing. Which I very much do not.

If you can mount an ISO using the IPMI just install the OS you want directly?

Or mount netboot.xyz and use it to install the system you want.

Before proceeding, please disable the 'Real-time protection' feature in Windows Defender. This feature may prevent certutil from downloading any files.

    Thanked by 1nekoaday

  • is it possible to include manual partitioning in there ?

it looks like it just automatic reinstall, there is no option for that.
