    i just got 4 emails from microsoft 365 defender about a students device "Possible theft of passwords and other sensitive web browser information"

    voting time, do we;

    a) change the users 365 password and deal with it tomorrow
    b) remotely factory reset the students device while they're in the middle of class and deal with it tomorrow
    c) do nothing and deal with it tomorrow

    Don't touch it if it is working, possible theft != actual theft, plus this is a student and not a staff so less sensitive data

    also around 60% of the kids that fuck up their devices with malware and worse are always named Lincoln

    Don't name your kid Lincoln if you don't want him to be a fuckwit is all I'm tryna say

    Do you think we should push the requirement of VIP to be higher? Something like only top 40/50 users instead?

    But actually looking at the 4-hourly flash sales, the VIP group has proven to be effective so far?

    Leaning towards saying no. Most deals have decent volume of 5+ units for the group. Of the 100 or so people many won’t be online for any given flash deal. Wouldn’t surprise me if current odds are like 1/3 to 1/5 when you consider active eyes in screen.

    A number of the codes have sat around for minutes, if not much longer, already.

    Said it a few days ago, but I wouldn’t let the 95% discounts sway the decision too much. I’d look at those 50% Genoas etc that aren’t going so fast as a better measure of real demand as they make up 95% of the offers.

    I’d kick people found to be sharing codes out though. Maybe they get treated as users that aren’t logged in temporarily or something.

    POV: your names Lincoln and you just got given a school device and go to IT and ask for Minecraft Education Edition to be installed because "It's educational it has education in the name"

    Lots of Malware / Ads/ Spamware / Spyware from kids trying to download "Free games", "free vbux" "hot girls" etc

    The absolute worst I've ever seen was a kid in grade 8 or 9 searching for beastiality videos though
