hello all
need to use whatsapp and looking for a throw away phone number helps me activate the app.
does anyone know of such service or if there is an alternative would be nice to know,

maybe your current operators sell prepaid free sim cards? Some forces you to choose a deal here, some just sends you free sim card with no plans chosen.

Depending on the app, you can sometimes set up 2FA to stop accounts being reset. Ultimately however, this is a risk.
Oone would be better off to select the long term rental if you need it again.
But if that's the case you may be better off with a new line depending on your service provider.

I can help you host your number. It's relatively easy to get a new SIM card here. We are also developing a WhatsApp chatbot app, some automation with a blue tick account, etc.
You just need to provide the device and fees to get the number, which is cheap. Read SMS messages through Google Messages with a pairing device so you can manage SMS on your end.
I won't doing bulk numbers for any purposes. An android device can host 2 numbers.
