    TLDR:

    • It was said that awesome deals would drop past 500K
    • This thread rose quickly from 400K to 500K
    • The hype was building as fast
    • There was some misunderstanding (whether or not is up to interpretation I guess) about the drop occuring around the time the thread past 500K
    • The thread past 500K about an hour ago
    • Special 500K deals will be posted in 5-6 hours

    There still will be deals posted during this time.

    And this is my version to summarize basically what happened and my opinion (one-sided and potentially inaccurate):

    @FAT32 designed a new system to ensure that those most inneed would have a higher chance to get the deal. He had previously mentioned that the code images displayed by this new system were directly accessed from GC, implying prior communication and collaboration, and even suggesting that the system is custom-built for GC at this stage.
    Following 2/3? successful rounds of testing, the system has proven to be flawless, demonstrating his commendable work. While GC boss stated that employees would use the system to release codes after he had sleep.
    Although we may have mistakenly anticipated the release of the 400k and 500k view codes at this time, but if this was pre-planned, why wasn't @FAT32 informed in advance, granting him more time for code, test and rest? GC's handling of this matter leaves to be desired, do better next time.

    But who can even predict when the thread will reach 500K? If it’s 2AM in the provider’s time zone, on a weekend, surely he could post it in the morning - he can literally post the deal anytime. Providers are human too.

    That’s how Black Friday used to be. I don’t get why people are mad. Some deals you miss, some deals you win. Other times you just chill around. You don’t throw a public tantrum when you miss a deal or deals don’t get posted in a way that favors you - that’s just stupid and weird. I stayed up until 3 AM. Am I mad? No. I just said hopefully I’ll wake up early tomorrow and try again.

    @FAT32 is literally in the same time zone as @NDTN , and IRL friends. If the code was to be posted in the morning, likely the system needs to be done today anyway too. Don’t be mad for @FAT32, if he is angry, he will be mad for himself and will say it. Don’t force feelings. They collaborated and finished it up quickly just so that regulars have better odds of getting the insane deal. Why can’t people just be thankful and have fun?
