YABS completed in 36 min 2 sec

My yabs also said that, very low single core gb6. is everyone running yabs together right now? :joy:

My best guess is that the VPS piko G11s 12M is on a special node where the CPU is oversold and we therefore get a lot lower GeekBench score compared to normal G11s VPSs.

Disk and network speed is decent so it still has its use cases.

I can't find a usecase for it but I bought it anyway. It will idle

One of the nice things about NetCup is their refund policy where you can get a full or partial refund.

I'm going to use mine for testing some firewall related stuff.

The answer is Swap : 1024.0 MiB

GB6 won't run with 1 GB RAM without it.

    GB4 and 5 should work.

The performance is relatively poor, making it a great option for idling!

Even with 1000+ GB6 score, we'll just idle it anyways

  • I've just ordered one, but I'm stuck at the order checking stage and like others haven't even been able to pay by this point. I did try a voucher but was rejected because of it as I already knew was almost definitely going to happen, but I continued anyway as €12/year is still a great price.
Hopefully soon I'll either be approved or be asked for more info. The oddest KYC I've had is OVH (where I ordered a $10/first year VPS). They sent me a long email as soon as I'd paid saying how the order had to be reviewed and that I should have my passport and/or other ID documents ready for a review, but that I should wait for an email from their support team before sending them. They made it very clear that the order was not going to complete without following through this verification process, and with the amount of info they were saying they were going to need I had practically given up on the order.
And then I heard nothing until magically a few days later it was somehow approved without explanation. So no KYC in the end, but a bit of an odd process for sure.
If I do manage to complete this order, I'll at least have use for it as a Tailscale exit node as I don't have any in Germany yet. But apart from that I'll have to try and think of something.
But as I have done many times before I always seem to end up ordering first, and thinking later...

There is also a big difference between the GB4 score of this offer and my other VPS G11s.

    GB4 single core:
    This offer: 2340
    Other G11s: 5588

    Geekbench 5 failed :disappointed:

Just a quick update in that I got an email through requesting verification. I'm sure many of you have already seen this but when you click through there are in fact 2 options: Verification and Prepayment. And all that Prepayment does is generate the €12 invoice which you'd need to pay anyway. So it looks like at least for me there was the option to pretty much bypass the extra KYC, which was nice.
So my server is up. Now just to find a use for it.

  • Sweet, grabbed an extra one as well.

Specs should be plenty for Wireguard
Bandwidth? Depends but wouldn't be a problem 99% as long as you use less then 1TB/day (then throttled to 100Mbps)
Connectivity? Not bad, but should depend on your personal use case. I've found Netcup's connectivity to be on the better side, but it does seem to lack South-East Asia connectivity (although, you shouldn't be using a German server if you are in that region).

Yes, using one for the exact same purpose. No problems with them.

Its affiliate so I'll get 10% commission off ur payment. its 5 euros off of order. Idk if it allows for existing acc.

@Multi said: These servers are explicitly excluded from any discounts via coupons.

Not true, someone used my coupon and I got the commission. It works. Even I used a coupon and it worked(those I decided not to buy cuz I dont need it).

  • @shaikhmanal said: Even I used a coupon and it worked

I don't think so. It does look like it's working, but when you actually try to order, that's when the coupon gets rejected. However, if someone orders other VMs on the same order, the coupon will work and you will get your affiliate commision for the full order.

The commission I got was for 10.80 or 08euros which is too specific tbh

You can try yourself. Coupons don't work and they explicitly say coupons won't work with these special servers. Maybe you still get a commission when someone tries the coupon but doesn't work for him or something.

Reliability and good uptime at this price range is extremely rare. Especially since this comes with a IPv4.

It's a full VPS with IPv4 and 1TB/day bandwidth that costs less than what 1 IPv4 costs at most hosts.
