Guacamole's android typing is a nightmare?

I have always used juicessh when I have wanted to ssh in from android but for over a decade I have heard great things about guacamole so I decided to give it a try. After few hours of setting things up I was flabbergasted to see the poor android typing experience! Every word I type repeats. The screen goes haywire and looses focus.

There is a built in on-screen keyboard but on my phone the keys are impossible to press with them being so tiny!!

I use SwiftKey, I switched to Google's keyboard and it's still the same. Such an awful experience. I feel like I wasted the entire day saving over 3 dozen vm details only to not be able to even type! There is also no method to export or import all the connection details?

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a workaround apart from carrying a bt keyboard in my pocket all the time?

Is there a better free alternative? Everyone praises terminus but I hear it's pricey.

Why not just use Termux? I use termux for easy ssh when I need to. I also have a Tasker automation to switch my keyboard to a bigger one when I open the app, and switch back when I close it.

I wanted a place/app which allowed me to store all shh credentials/keys in a single place, so I didn't have to store it on my phone or even my desktop. The idea seemed nice, like logging into a single website or app from anywhere or using any device otherwise juicessh is a very reliable app or putty on windows.

OK this looks like a good android client but juicessh is just that, an android client and a pretty reliable one too.

I was looking for something that cud act as a maintainer of my ssh credentials and keys across all platforms. Now if I update a password or a key in one vm I have to make similar changes on my pc, my phone and tablet.

good to see fellow guacamole user, I have the very same use case as I'm lazy.
on me, my temporary workaround is to use Text Input mode. but yeah it's not perfect, and only work in chromium based browsers (firefox always have issues at resizing the window)

I still don't quite like it so I settled with cheap bluetooth keyboard instead (+ having a touchpad in it is quite useful)

That pretty much confirms it... I realize now, I'm basically looking for an open source-ish variant of termius. Everything else just feels like a hack or I'm missing something big.

Yeah, I bet we're just one keyword away to find it lol.

I really wished something like tabbysh https://tabby.sh/about/features as it's open source and it has been fits my needs for desktop..well, but for android!

I also planned to setup one machine to ssh hop, where I put my devices key inside that one vm, and every other vm is accessible with a single key from that vm, so I only need to setup my device keys only once. never actually done it as i'm too lazy and keeps procrastinating (probably should've make a setup using ansible instead).
