Hey! I just wanted to add, in case anyone is interested, we have dedicated servers in Johor Bahru, MY. Just reach out to us with your requirements, and we'll see what we can do for you.

We've listed some plans at https://advinservers.com/dedicated (including 9950X), but it is not a comprehensive list and we can do something custom for you if you would like!

    Thanked by 1sliix
  • I just tried the Johor Bahru node, The Premium EPYC Genoa was rock solid, showing good performance. And YABS showing excellent performance. What I found completely annoying was Web Surfing from inside the VPS. Speedtest outside Singapore zone would be less than 1Gbps in the 10Gbps Network Capacity as mentioned. And accessing to Google , Youtube, Netflix, Hotstar , Amazon , BN, a noticeable delays around 3 - 5 seconds. I think there is limitation of network speed in the incoming traffic for web surfing. I am giving a chance to fix this, but it seems AdvinServers choose to refund immediately. And what I paid $6, AdvinServers just returned $5.52. Well that quite a dramatic story. Too bad, good performance VPS, but with serious network performance due to CDN77 / Datapacket that needs to be checked. My analysis was, if there are no limitations in network speed, I believed all the capacity of VPS given will be flatten out, 100Gbps, could be full all the times. Well, it's my story finding a good one in Singapore and area around it. And it's still did not fit like the one I found in Amsterdam and Frankfurt.

  • CDN77 being CDN77....
If you want better networking for south-east asia, find one running on SG.GS or GSL.

Telin seem to won asia best connectivity award but I can't find any VPS running on that.

    Agreed for GSL ..
Telin won for Asia , Yes (y)
Lucky I could use Telkom Indonesia to reach Frankfurt and it wins in all aspects.

but CDN77 was not bad either, because I am still using VPN Service that using Datapacket CDN77, and it's not bad like AdvinServers did to my VPS

It seems all incoming traffic from Websurfing got shaped heavily to reduce bandwidth usages.

    I think that's all I know

CDN77 has a pretty decent network in APAC.

However, we’re always looking for additional carriers to maybe add to our blend ;)

    Hi,

Starting from most likely mid-February, we will be migrating all virtual servers on our platform from Proxmox to our own platform based on Libvirt.

We will be moving to our own completely in-house control panel. While Proxmox has worked for us for the past 2 years, we realize that there are still technical limitations that we aren’t really able to get around. Overall, this will give us some much-needed flexibility and stability in terms of our infrastructure and control panel.

We will be doing this migration in chunks. Every client will be sent an email with their VPS hostname and a specific maintenance period, which should last between 20-30 minutes.

Regarding the mid-February estimate, this is the time that we will simply start migrating. We expect most VPS hypervisors to take until March/April or beyond to be migrated to the new VPS platform. Thus, each VPS will have a different planned maintenance period which will be emailed in advance.

We understand that this may not be an ideal situation for some, but we expect there to be massive stability improvements, and loads of new features like hourly billing, private networking, floating snapshots, floating IPs, and so much more.

Not sure, we might skip this generation and wait for the next EPYC. Depends on how pricing goes, right now it's just too expensive.

    Hello,

We've received a lot of requests for updates on stock or VPS availability across our locations. In order to address this, we've now launched stock notifications!

On our website @ https://advinservers.com/cloud, you will see a new "Get Notified" button on out of stock products. You can click this, and it will direct you to opening a ticket. Once submitted, it will notify you whenever availability appears.

Not all products have this function yet, some products like VDS and Dedicated Server might get it eventually depending on certain factors.

    Thank you!

ISO mounting should be fixed and should be much more performant (and hotswap) now. The previous implementation was unreliable as ISOs were stored on one centralized server, using a protocol that wasn't great for latency-sensitive tasks. It's still slightly slow, but it's usable. We hope to improve the speed in the near future.

We have released proposed 9950X VDS pricing and vCPU cores here:

    https://advinservers.com/cloud

We just had a question for the community:

    1. Instead of dedicated vCPU cores, do you prefer shared cores? We can double the cores in some cases, e.g. Ryzen S could be 6 shared vCPU instead of 2 dedicated vCPU, but we weren't sure if this is what people prefer.
    2. How is the pricing? A little high?

Are you able to offer both options? I just feel this way people can choose? I think both are beneficial depending on users use case.

That is a good CPU though! On the smaller plans it might not be noticeable if you pick one or the other depending on what they are doing.

I've been using you services for many years standard VPS and premium VPS my experience was rock solid with you, because of that I think shared cores is a better idea as the steal time was always low, for my use case the ability to use more resources when needed is more important then dedicated low resources, the prices I believe are too high compared to what you usually offer and to premium VPS offer more resources and performance for lower price <3
