I might be falling in luv with Netcup & Hostslick at the same time....
I know, I know, it’s not right. It’s so wrong (like the song from Babyface) but tell that to my heart and my VPS deals.
Ever since I got the Netcup ARM deal, which I originally hated because I didn't know it was ARM based and I had no experience with it, I’m starting to believe I might’ve accidentally stumbled upon the deal of the decade. I mean, who knew? it’s got a 10-core processor, 16GB RAM, 1000GB SSD, and a 2.5Gb network that basically screams, “Floodgates open, baby!” This thing sends data faster than I send memes, 2.5Gbps send speeds to Uzbekistan, NY, Singapore without even breaking a sweat! Meanwhile, I’m over here watching it like a proud parent. 🥹
Then there’s Hostslick. Oh, @Hostslick. I snatched the 2023 OpenVZ deal like a Black Friday flat-screen, and Max over there just keeps sprinkling upgrades like he’s the Oprah of VPS. 6 cores, 12GB RAM, 150GB storage—but wait, there’s more! Max recently changed it to KVM (translation: it grew up and left the OpenVZ playpen), and he’s promising a network upgrade soon. And all this for $17 a year, Granted I spent hours trying to fetch this in the megathreads. Sure, some of you are cautious to say anything about Hostslick here, but me? I’m betting on them like one does for a scrappy underdog in a sports movie
So here I am, torn between two loves. Netcup’s the powerhouse, the dependable one you bring home to mom. Hostslick’s the wildcard, the one that makes you giggle at 2AM and might spontaneously redecorate your living room. Do I need therapy? Maybe. But as long as my servers keep serving, I’m here for the drama.
Time for some popcorn boys ![]()

I forgot to thank @emgh bcoz in the megathread I read a comment where he praised netcup & that was literally enough for me to jump on the advent deal from netcup with double the ssd

Nice deal you've there with HostSlick. I snagged a deal in BF2024 with the spec slightly lesser halved of yours -- 3C/5.5G/125G and higher price too $22/yr (idling). Might consider (revisit) it after reading your review.
Do they run any BF sale every year?
As a matter of fact i have seen their ssd doubling offer on multiple occasions, I may be wrong.
That's cool! I will keep a close watch on it
net cupper it s grate
@raza19 hows your IOPS looking like for the fragrant VPS?
I don't get it how someone can fall in love with OpenVZ and/or Hostslick.
Netcup is understandable.
I'm not sure why at university, instead of analysing this lovely ode, we are stuck with Shakespeare and Wordsworth. Sure they're famous and all, but do they even know about this masterpiece right here? Do they?
It's complicated! Their service can have 100% uptime for 10 months then fail completely, so...
Yes, they will have similar deals tomorrow. Unfortunately, the VPS Piko is no longer in stock.
Its kvm now
ie netcup

sorry I meant hostslick
I am glad you are happy with the services. We rarely get to see customers between 2 lovers as if depicting an Oreo biscuit. Reviews like this are way better than popcorn dramas. Congratulations for being happy!
