That's correct, if we go the paid route.
Obviously if zpush works well enough then it'd be free to all users.
If anyones interested they're welcome to join the discord.

Come one come all! The RCLONE beta is now out!
https://github.com/namecrane/rclone/releases/tag/1.0
You can also find my fumbled pull request to upstream in the 'closed issues' part of the official rclone repository. Woops.
Let me know if we missed an arch and i'll push up the compiled binaries.
We do intend to request this get pulled into the official codebase.

$3/year is not much. But out of curiosity, what would be the expected delay time if EAS is enabled? Asking because my Android mail app pulls IMAP update in the background every 5 minutes. If EAS/ActiveSync pushes emails on the order of a few seconds, I'd be very interested; but if it has ~ 1 min delay, then probably not that useful.
EAS is basically instant and that’s how fast this would be.
Francisco
$3 - $5/year is a no brainer I’ll take it for sure for time sensitive inboxes.
Even happier if zpush works well during the test though 😉
I believe MXRoute requires or suggests minimal spam filtering settings. Does NameCrane also do this? Asking in case I need to make SpamExperts less aggressive to let more legit items through. (Disabling spam filtering is probably not the answer.) SpamExperts does not seem to whitelist senders after performing "release and train".
Doesn't imap idle basically make this a non-issue these days? I recall the days my BlackBerry beat all, but nowadays, when there's a new email, my phone and gmail pretty much alert in seconds.
Gmail -- if you mean via the Gmail app -- is probably a different (proprietary) story
In any case, Dovecot supports IMAP IDLE, and for most purposes, this should probably be enough, but perhaps it's not instantaneous enough?
My understanding is that in additional to email, ActiveSync also updates calendar, contacts, and tasks
I found SpamExperts to be a bit too aggressive with a few of my accounts, you can tweak it on the SpamExperts dashboard under "Incoming - Protection Settings" -> "Filter Settings".
The whitelisting is done manually at "Incoming - Protection Settings" -> "Sender Allow List". Can confirm that "release and train"ing doesn't whitelist senders.
IDLE is already supported but mail clients like like Apple mail dont support it.

Hi,
Interested in "CraneMail LIFETIME 250G - $69.42 One-Time Payment". just want to know "15 Primary Domains" -- can I change domains?
or i just can use 15 domains, and can't change for lifetime.
You can delete them and add another ones, you can't modify them though, the domain needs to be deleted and other one added.
You can “rename” a domain. It would retain all the data, just the domain swaps.
Francisco
it says you cannot rename if you enable SpamExperts
Fair enough
I'll see if I can improve that.
We blocked this intentionally because there's no way to rename a domain in Spamexperts. This means we have to delete the domain instead and remake. Any filters/whitelist/blacklist the user has setup is lost in the process.

https://github.com/rclone/rclone/pull/8336
We've gone ahead and pushed up the rclone backend, lets see if we can get it included in 1.7.0
A big thanks to our beta testers as well as our devops team.
Francisco
@Francisco Sorry I have missed something - when is NC expected to be functional for us to transfer our domains and what extensions are currently in place?
Thanks.
I'm working on some of the backend code for domains as we speak, and @NameCrane is finalizing pricing. We're already accredited with a few registries and have access to sell. Verisign is just waiting on paper work on our end and I'm now delegating that to Karen otherwise it'll get put on the backburner again.
The LUX->NL crap threw a bit of a wrench into my spare time.

Update
Ok - joined discord where it had already been asked
Just ran
./rclone-linux-amd64 config
and I am in.
Bought another 500GB after seeing this.
How long will you be offering the lifetime plan?
For sending, i'd rather LI - a quiet harbour, with only one active spammer in the entire country
ch is also very good
nl - nothing interesting
SI is excellent.
@NameCrane @Francisco - absolutely love this service - thank you!
He’s a boss, ent he!
Singapore Down.
Already on it
looks like it locked up. Just watching it boot up now.
Francisco
I was told it will be .nl!
the much more important question is when? @Francisco
I think its much closer than we think.
the boss @Francisco could comment on this here!
I'm working to just source drives at this point. I think we can be up in February with minimal issue.
Francisco
.nl has some global filtering, thanks to leaseweb and similar spam heavens
.ae / .sa have good domestic delivery, but global delivery is terrible. mails from .ae are filtered by default.
so better stick with .us for better delivery, but you may receive messages anywhere though, .nl ets, doesn't matter.
