Don't worry about it too much, just enjoy it while it lasts. Threads like this are done as far as I know.

Is it even safe to post in this thread now? ;)

I can't say for sure but I think they're letting us finish this thread, at least.

So that they can catch people in action and issue a red pfp ? :#

I think its better to slow down than getting the other option.

It does seem like a honeypot now, doesn't it?

BTW, i stumbled on this regarding minecraft.. Racknerd has a guide to setup minecraft server on a vps so they must be ok with the cpu and resource usage it has :)

I only host 5 people max, usually only 1 or 2 people on.. CPU hovers around 30% when 2 people are on so its not terrible. Was a little worried

    https://blog.racknerd.com/how-to-install-minecraft-on-a-vps/

Also it really is that easy to setup a minecraft server. Download a JAR from a public URL and run it and you are good to go

Their blog does have some great articles. Same could be said about their YT channel.

Hi @noob404 -- definitely agree here! Glad to hear you've found value in our blog posts and YouTube channel.

By the way, we're always open to content suggestions. If there's anything specific you'd like to see us cover, just let us know :)

Sure. The articles there are pretty good already. But, I'd also record some cornerstone content. I have generally seen DO articles ranking number one for many server-related tutorials. They are good, but, not always updated. There are several other blogs providing noob friendly updated articles. I wish that for RackNerd blog.

What's up everyone? Great prizes in the Provider Poll thread, as usual.

Hi @noob404 -- Indeed! And let's not forget, @FAT32 did an amazing job putting it all together. This type of coordination certainly requires a ton of work and effort behind the scenes. We're beyond proud to contribute and do what we can to give back to this awesome community :)

Yup, FAT is a beast. I dunno how he manages all these threads. I also learned that Angstrom has been manually checking every post and checking if they qualify to vote, no bots involved. Kudos to him as well for his hard work.

Will Los Angeles DC3 be launched?

Hi @suut -- We're working on a large expansion in this location (very nice facility by the way, I was just there in-person not long ago) which may soon mean that KVM VPS's will also be available in this datacenter location for deployment as well. Stay tuned, we're going to be making progress quite fast with this one :)

I honestly won't say no to another RackNerd Swissgear bag. My family loves it very much. Me being a not very social introvert IRL, esp. lately, haven't been able to use it a lot. But, all the times I have used it, I have loved it.

From their website, it looks like Racknerd has a Singapore presence for Dedis and Shared Hosting.. hopefully, VPS will come real soon.

Hi @sh97 -- That's right! Singapore is available immediately for our shared/reseller hosting services and bare metal. While VPS offerings in Singapore aren't on our immediate radar, we're constantly working to expand and improve our services for our Asia users. By the way, our Los Angeles location has been specifically optimized for Asia connectivity and such.

Everyone has got the same question. Let's see what Dustin says and see if there are any changes announced by the staff. Anyways, I am just glad to be able to post back on this thread.
For me, it's like being back home :)

Howdy -- there's always going to be movement and changes, but we do very well here, we create positive impact to the community, and in fact, we're always giving back, whether that is through paid ads on LET/LEB, providing free contributed content to LEB, providing endless/recurring giveaways on LET (outside of threads) and of course as we all come to know, MANY giveaways within our own threads!

We've built a solid reputation over the years, we're a community favorite (multi-year voted top LET provider by the community). RackNerd has also been voted by the community as #1 Most Professional Provider. On top of that RackNerd has gained tremendous growth and obtain achievements on Inc. 5000. No. 1506 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list (ranking #16 in the telecommunications sector and #58 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 Regionals Pacific list)

We're thankful for the community, our valued customers, and all of RackNerd's supporters. We'll continue to give back. Let's partyyyyy on B)

Yes of course, I already have a VM there, and the best I can get is 210ms (which is the best of all my US VMs)

Would love to see sub 100ms from a Racknerd location one day.
