Are you guys not enjoying hearing the story that you guys wrote? We're only 111/952 lines into the dialogue so far...

Wait did someone turn this thread into an audio book that i can read to?

I'll throw you the lines and you can record them in your dulcet tones to share with the group (he said).

my voice will make the others wish they have never had been born with the ability to hear

    Hahaha :)

i believe it has nothing to do with customs(unless of course you are importing the said device from overseas), the pricing being on higher end is due to one plain reason and that is the 18% GST on sales on top of it the corporate tax the company has to file annually(roughly around 25%-35%). Now let's come to another aspect of importing apple products in india, apple products are usually imported with 18% GST along with 4% cess and 10% Social welfare charge and 10% basic duty thud making the cost 1.5x on the declared value, declared value is product cost + shipping cost.

Oh well, I thought it was because it was manufactured somewhere else so those charges added up didn't know about these well aa GST is the main factor that makes littrally everything costly in India  I just like hate that I know yaa tax is necessary and what not but really its on everything man

Well in case of laptop I still think mac is good in that aspect but I hate it for it non-upgradeable ram and storage wish they could change that but instead all the other companies are also shifting to soldered ram

Yeah i wish all the other companies wouldn't follow suite but they have found customers don't care enough I guess.

I just fixed an old sony laptop the other day. Just bought a new battery. Popped the old one out and slid the new one in. No tools required. Those were the days..
