Soooo. I won a few VPS over the Christmas and New Year mega-threads, and I've decided that I don't need them all. So first of all, I'm going to give away the two VPS I won in NL as I already have plenty of servers in central Europe. I have checked with the providers and they're both OK with me transferring them to someone else as a giveaway.
Ideally, I'd like to make sure that these servers only go to people who are genuinely going to use them, and also want to give people who missed out on winning any of the giveaways in any of the mega-threads a chance by giving them extra weighting in the draw. Also anyone who entered the relevant draw originally will receive extra weighting for that draw.
To enter, like the relevant post below and reply with one or more of the tags. If you only enter a single draw, I'll weight your entry double in that draw.
I'll close entries in 1 week, let's say 17:00 GMT 27/1/2025, and collate the names and run the random draws when I get chance, hopefully within a couple of days.

can't miss on chances since didn't win any giveaway expect the thanks giveaway from our only FAT32
4 in total. These two in NL, a WebHorizons one in Singapore which I still haven't decided whether I'll stick up for giveaway or keep, and Zappie's LXC instance in Auckland. These last 2 locations are ones I particularly wanted, so I'm taking more time to decide over them.
I'll probably keep the SG server at least until it's close to renewal when I've assessed how much capacity I need there, as I've also got a more expensive server with higher bandwidth there. For now, I'm going to let this share some of the load.
The NZ server is more interesting, as it's LXC and all of my workflow is reliant on nested KVM instances. It also has a very low bandwidth allowance, but I really like the location and it's cheap on renewal, so I'll probably keep it if for no reason other than keeping an eye on latency to my other servers from New Zealand.
That was the most valuable giveaway, but I'll narrow the criteria to server giveaways!

Can you make sure you like the relevant giveaway post, not just the top level post. It's easy to miss comments among chat, so having the list of likes against each draw makes it easier to make sure everyone gets included for the right draw.

Really cool! I'm new here, so I'll try my luck in the next giveaways to see if I get the chance, if you find no use for the NZ server, I'll happily pay for it I love to have a web host pop in every country respect it being a ping server too

I can only giveaway what I have! This giveaway was actually one of the Christmas giveaways, just a very random one-off fastest solution to the puzzle, not one of the long-running ones.
