curious about your project too @Beniskickbutt
Notifications sitting at 6,950! The project is paused becasue minecraft started happening.. Its all there though, it database posts from a thread. The only thing i wanted to do was add some "hooks" when a new author is spotted or a new post is found. That way rather than just using the parser to database things, and do post processing, it would be a little easier to have the parser and stat thing run as an all in one solution
Not available ? even used ones?
You still didn't clear your notifications?

Missing the ebay days. I hate flipkart for this monopoly creation. They bought ebay and killed it. They did same with LetsBuy earlier.
Good morning everyone
Good morning BasToTheMax
Flipkart bought ebay? 🤔
Yah, didn't you know. They bought it, and for some time also created something "close to ebay" in terms of refurbished and used selling. Guess it was called 2gud or something. Then, decided to trash the whole ebay project to ground.
I know about them acquiring eBay's indian business in a deal between walmart and ebay, where ebay sold it's share it had in Flipkart to walmart along with his indian business operation. Ebay is still independent and can make a comeback if they aren't legally bound(if they are I believe it would be for x years).
Now the comments are gone
Oh. Didn't know these particulars. eBay was awesome. Throwback to the times when coupon code hunting was actually fun. I used to get everything from there. I remember manys ellers selling imported Dell laptops at much cheaper prices than the offline market with international warranty. Since ebay went kaput or into hibernation, I haven't seen these sellers on any other ecommerce platform.
Good morning y'all!
Yup , bought it and closed it.
That 2gud is 2worst iirc.
It's plain simple no platform can match the resources and funding ebay did for it's indian business, to counter it create something similar or better one would need an astronomical amount of resources and dedication. I mean sure I can create a platform launch it in a month, source some sellers to sell their items their rest would be handled by "platform", but with taxation and with shitty payment infrastructure of India I just don't see it anything more than the Amazon/flipkart ordeal. To actually scale it I would need a better payment infra where I am not limited to use the outdated PGs or the popup unfriendly ones, I will also need to fix the taxation to make it easier for sellers if not it will go down the drain with sellers leaving one after another.
You meant, was*
Ebay didn't try to enter again, seems their agreement prevents that.
Ha ha, right. It was..
Maybe or it just doesn't seem the Indian market worth for the comeback, I mean our policies are bullshit......
Don't know, but flipkart's actions are always in the way of monopoly. Did you remember letsbuy? I bought my first mobile(i mean with my salary) in letsbuy at good discount. Motorola defy.
They bought letsbuy and closed it. I thought similar thing will happen to myntra as well, somehow they allowed myntra to operate on its own though.
Hi
Hi
It's not about flipkart monopoly or something, I once bought a bunch of stuff from shopclues and Snapdeal and now my most of shopping is limited to Amazon the only reason is the big catalog and I can't find many things on Flipkart and such, olx is dead with bunch of scammers running wild there and apart from that there's just nothing better right now for consumers, the risk involvement is bigger in India for such marketplaces to survive and make a profit, it's either seller losing money or the platform. Our own mentality and policies prohibit our progress.
