so storage for 500GB would cost $2.5 without bandwidth !

Seems like a bad value to me so not sure who the target audience is. You can get Backblaze B2 for $0.006/GB and use Cloudflare for free unlimited bandwidth. Or via Telnyx at $0.006/GB and free unlimited bandwidth included.

I wish not to derail original post, you/I can dm you as well. How does Cloud flare works with backblaze on S3 end points? Do you mean cloudflare cache Or anything linked with cloud flare egde Or cdn like technologies?

If so systemsfreaks storage can be accessible via cloud flare Possibly.

No not cloudflare cache. Backblaze offers free egress up to 3x your storage use and after that they charge you for the bandwidth. However if you follow their guide and setup egress to be routed through cloudflare the egress is free and unlimited.

Telnyx doesn't need cloudflare for free unlimited egress but you can route it through cloudflare and sometimes the routing could make it faster.

I get roughly 6-9Gbps upload and download from both of them to my 10gbps server an 2Gbps to my house.

Regarding systemfreaks storage using cloudflare yeah you should be able to do that but you won't eliminate the $1/TB egress that systemfreaks charges. Backblaze has an agreement with cloudflare for free egress.

    Hi @systemfreaks,

    • Can your offload media plugin work with custom subdomain?

Yes, that feature is on the road map

We manually review all orders to ensure quality and security. To access the beta, you must have a verified email, provide accurate user details, and pass an account evaluation. If your account has not been approved yet, it may still be under review or there may be an issue with the details provided. For further clarification or assistance, feel free to create a support ticket.

    Thank you for your understanding.

We are considering a free TIER, if you want to apply you will need to be a company, and have a professional email - [email protected] and a CC on file, if you are interested and meet the requirements sent a request in a ticket.

    What about a freelancer?

By the way how long is the beta testing period?

  • I'm more interested in the infrastructure, how you can handle failure

Is this only for backup purpose, you didn't answer my questions, do you use minio, do you have hot, warm, cold type of storage like NVMe, SSD, HDD, object aging, moving to different storage types, and ACL based on policies similar to S3/Minios?

Beta period will end by end of February - mid of march, at this point we will start charging for storage, at this point bandwidth will still be included for free.

We will keep you updated here and also by email about the stages of BETA And changes in the infrastructure.

Minio is currently being considered, and is part of the beta, but I can't assure you this will be part of the production ready option, as yet, I will keep you posted here and share more info about the infrastructure as the BETA progresses.

Nvme and HDD storage will be offered on the end product, priced accordingly, and bucket migration + snapshots so you can download the bucket content as zip features are on the roadmap

Our servers are placed behind HAProxy and are configured with replication to ensure high availability. This setup helps maintain performance and uptime. Additionally, we are actively developing a CDN, which will be included by default when it’s ready.

As mentioned earlier, we are conducting a live BETA, meaning the infrastructure is still being deployed, tested, and may change. Currently, files are replicated across 2 clusters to ensure redundancy and reliability during this phase.

    Invoice# 3327 - Service activated!

  • Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I create the access keys and secret? Other services for s3 generator them automatically based on information you provide. Also what is the region?
    Thanks in advance.

  • gksgks Member

There are too much technical parts, i Try to skip this now, like I wanted to know range headers to read portion of files etc. I use minio in self hosted environment, until these guys come back with fully working versions, nothing to be attractive.

Its better to send a ticket about it so we can also check your package, to create a secret key apart from the default, you need to visit services>click manage on your bucket package>access keys tab

So far questions were (that I did not see answered properly):

    • Is it Minio or not ?
    • What is hardware design ? How many nodes/disks are there and what keeps my data safe/redundant
    • ...something else maybe (?)

These are simple 1-2 word answers..

Basically what people are wondering is: Who are you, why should we trust you and what makes you better than running Minio/Garage myself over random Hetzner storage dedi ?

I know why would I go to AWS,Cloudflare,B2,Wasabi.. before running own Minio.. And that is cluster(fucks) of servers/disks in backend that keeps and guarantees for my data

  • Feel free t > @pbx said:

"Is it Minio or not ? : "

Yes, Current Beta is running on minio.
    Ceph is also being considered

"What is hardware design ? How many nodes/disks are there and what keeps my data safe/redundant? "

Each node has 8 disks which are used for minio, we allocated 5 nodes for the BETA, and the cluster is replicated by 2.

"I know why would I go to AWS,Cloudflare,B2,Wasabi.. before running own Minio.. And that is cluster(fucks) of servers/disks in backend that keeps and guarantees for my data"

AWS, Cloudflare, and others are on a massive scale with global redundancy. Our infrastructure started to meet our own backup needs, and we’re now offering it with a focus on simplicity, affordability, and integration (e.g., our WordPress S3 backup plugin). While we can’t match their scale yet, we scale our nodes and disks as demand grows and strive to maintain data redundancy on par with those companies.
