I feel bad for our fellow hype squad missing out :(

Yup, but, I am also glad that new members got the chance to join in and win.

Yes, it's nice that you guys let the new members win some prizes

Frankly, we all were slower this time compared to the earlier giveaways. Most of the gang i still waking up or busy with their work. So, the competition this time around was on the lower end. No worries. They will all join in soon and it's gonna get crazy.

    CRAZY DEALS!!!!

@dustinc Did LA have upcharge or a different pricing schema? I.e. different spec for the price or is the new years and black Friday quotes applicable to LA?

Did you miss Dustin's comment on LA VPS?

yes, I missed Dustin's comment on LA VPS

    Really enjoying racknerd so far.

Yeah, Racknerd is one of the best VPS providers

Just realized that even though this was originally an LA plan, San Jose is the closest you can get. LA is sold out. :/

San Jose isn't too far from LA

    Thanked by 1BlazinDimes

Man editing mobile is hard. Apparently I never got my message sent. I thought you guys would have trains or roads fo cross country to keep costs cheaper there than in the us. Boats and planes are expensive

Right now, everything is getting expensive

  • @codelock said:
Page 928 it is keep going

Things going crazy in here today :) I havent had new pages pop in with each refresh for a while... @BlazinDimes

Yeah, and it's not bad or anything, but there is a reason RackNerd's LA locations are always sold out. :p

We will get storage vps hopefully if there is enough demand

Theres a couple people here that keep looking for a storage solution. Maybe it'll gain some traction indeed! @BlazinDimes

    Thanked by 1BlazinDimes
  • San Jose is pure Cogent.

I'm both a RackNerd fan, and a data hoarder, so I just hope that someday we can get some old hardware like OVH sells, but in the hands of a decent provider like RackNerd.

    Fellow r/datahoarder here

Ah a fellow redditor, nice to meet you. Delete nothing. :p

Not a data hoader, but i like seeing the pretty setups people post on their sometimes. That and /r/cableporn (its safe aside from thekeyword)

    Thanked by 1BlazinDimes

The US hates trains for no good reason. :p

Many major automobile manufacturers bought up the majority of the trains in America and then shut them down so that more people would buy cars instead

Lets the new people come in and experience the joy around! Winning a prize will keep them around long (im evidence)

Noob are you gonna go for RAM or the cpu core?

    why not both?

Good morning! I missed it all... Unfortunate timezones :(

    good morning MrEd!

  • @chitree said:

yes, I missed Dustin's comment on LA VPS

Dustin made a post saying I could reach out to him and look for some LA inventory and he may have the hook up. I did and he was able to get something setup for me. I have some stuff setup on the servre now and its probably my most used server now :)

  • @chitree said:

Yeah, Racknerd is one of the best VPS providers

Only have good things to say about them. I have 4 services from them and they all work great. CPU scheduling has been good as well

  • @Beniskickbutt said:
You guys think the GAs are done for the day ;) I need to plan my schedule around the hype

When next GA? We will see

  • @chitree said:

They do have some LA stock if you reach out. They are about to dump a bunch of inventory in 2 weeks he said but its gonna go fast.. Keep an eye out or reach out to see if you can get one if you want one. I was debating San jose but LA was slightly better location wise and gets me on another isp provider

  • @chitree said:

Right now, everything is getting expensive

True. Things seem to have stablized a bit atleast.. Not houses though. Those are still nuts

  • @BlazinDimes said:

I just hope theres not another fire in the building while im using my VPS there :) The 2.5GB has been great for my needs so far. Even reaching cross country its been seemless. Was a little worried about that initially

  • @Beniskickbutt said:
Whoa i just got 2 cloudflare bad gateways trying to refresh this page :O

cloudflare is a such a pain at times

Is this good or bad? Are you on the hunt to figure out which data centers use whom? Most of my experience has been with colocrossing. They seem to be everywhere
