Does some spam get rejected without going to quarantine? Does this depend on settings?
It's very very rare for something to leak, but if it does you can login to Spamexperts and 'train' it that it's spam. It sometimes has issues with non english languages.
You can always tighten things more but then you'll likely catch legitimate emails too.
Francisco
My thinking was that "high-conviction spammy" items would get rejected without quarantine (eg, deleted with only a log entry remaining), reserving the quarantine for "medium-conviction spammy" items that users need to manually deal with.
I don't know the standard practice and certainly not suggesting anything. I don't think this question even applies to me. Only asking out of curiosity.

I honestly don't know if SM deletes '99% sure this is spam' anyway. I think in those cases it just sends a quarantine email and we hold it for 30 days or so.
Francisco
Mine activated just now.
Can I verify the domain first, do some setup, copy the emails, and finally add the rest of DNS records? Apologies if this has been asked before.
Yes
Actually pretty great, my only issue was being new to this and the guide implied using mail.site not mail and that part wouldn't verify. It took a bit to verify the order, but that's not a big deal, the mail is easy to setup and add new users.
@Francisco any possibility of (s)ftp ing data to the storage space?
No, sorry. We are working on an rclone backend and are really close to having that ready for some beta testing.
Francisco
@Francisco is there any way to see how many each email id has sent? Like we have two email ids sales and support but we want to see stats like how many email sales email sent and how many emails support email sent. Now as per my finding we can only see whole domain stats.
As the domain admin you can generate reports that should include that.
Question to everyone. We are looking to offer activesync/eas as a paid addon. Probably around $3/year per inbox.
We can’t do it for free or bake in since it requires licensing be paid per inbox (not per domain, per inbox).
We know there is things like zpush but I’m not sure how good it is or if I want to try side loading it with smartermail.
$3/year is a fair price
What are the benefits of EAS?
Pretty instant syncing between your mobile device and your emails/contacts/etc. Instant push notifications, things like that.
It's cool but costly. I think we'll give zpush a try in a closed beta of sorts and see how stable it is. If it's good enough we'll announce that and forget charging for seats.
If it's terrible then we'll just resell the smartermail EAS seats for $3 - $5/year.
Francisco
Yeah, I’d be willing to pay a few $ for it if the alternatives didn’t pan out.
I mean if it's $3 - §5 per year and you don't have to license all of your currently used mailboxes I'd be interested.
