this is actually an interesting point and needs clarification. without having it re-read I don't recall the rules stating that you cannot sell at a higher price than your asking price.

If I want to sell something at 20$ (asking price) and some potential buyer comes in and offers me 40$ instead (probably to get ahead of competition) where does it say, that I cannot freely pick this offer and sell to them?

don't get me wrong, I am all against scalpers and such, but unless the price has been pushed artificially, I don't see how the seller is to blame.

Here are the transfer rules: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/153228/rules-for-selling-on-lowendtalk-updated-04th-sep-2018/p1#servicetransfers

You can't ask more than double price. Sure you can ask for double price, but it's up to you if someone DM you and offers triple price. But officially you can't ask for it or say "best offer".

It actually says "The selling price for the service cannot be more than 2 times the recurring price, or $10, whichever is higher."

Neither the asking price nor the selling price can be more than double the recurring price. A seller cannot accept triple the price, whether it's offered in private or not. Double is the maximum.

With the additional info he's added, I feel I was too quick defending the OP!

    I don't think that's ever happened before.

Sellers normally respect the order DMs arrive and sell to the first one who wants to buy, and only moves on to later people if the first buyer goes AWOL or fails to complete the transaction.

There shouldn't be any reason for anyone to offer over the asking price if the seller sells first-come first-served.

Be transparent and provide proof for clarity but honor the users that offered as per the asking price in the post.

And who would be stupid enough to offer more than the asking price? :D In the OP it says Asking 26 Euro Each or Best Offers. Normal people would offer their best lower offer. Not higher :D

I agree, it's defined as selling price in the rules, not asking price. thanks for clarifying.

Like for clarity, I offered 20 euro for the transfer because let's be real the server has 4 days left on it until renewal so having to fork another 13 euro that soon is already a little silly.

The OP said that they had an offer for 39 euro but if I offered 40 I would get it. They are free to do as they wish within the rules but I feel like there should be some sort of additional clarity on transfers. It was fun playing roulette but the amount that are going up with less than a week left and expecting double is a little out of hand.

Maybe mods could check if any such DMs ever occurred between this buyer and seller. Is that possible @Arkas @raindog308 @FAT32 @DP

    That's textbook definition of scalping.

Indeed, it's a shaddy post , where 2 servers are offered one transferred immediately and the second server [same server] still available, it seems there is most probably only 1 server actually

Yeah we're so jealous of you overpaying for a server that's due for renewal in a few days. And this server is so much better than ks-a or ks-le-b. Sure, right :D

Post your proof of OP is lying or scamming or breaking the rules LOL.
It was me who offered him more than the price he mentioned, what's his mistake there? That's why I joined LET.

Making false accusations without any single proofs. Shame on you all.
