Who gets ipv4 from the waiting list, how long is the waiting time.

Depends, there is no fixed time but usually 2-3 years

Hello, I have a couple of RIPE /24s available for lease, price 110 Eur/month.

  • CatixsCatixs Member, Host Rep

I am looking for an APNIC /24 or /23 subnet lease. The subnet will be used for Hosting and IPT. Please DM your subnets and pricing along.

(Accidentally mis-typed RIPE in the title, I need it for ARIN)

    Hey,

I need a LIR that can register ASN on behalf of my company in ARIN. Please tell me your prices and I would just like to clarify I will not be getting subnets from the same provider. I already have two subnets on a different ASN and will be getting them transferred.

I looked around and most of these providers want a subnet (ipv4/6) subscription alongside ASN registration.

I ONLY need a sponsoring LIR for ASN registration. Will pay annually.

    Thanks!

No idea how ARIN does it. But I can recommend someone for RIPE :joy:

@itsneil said: I looked around and most of these providers want a subnet (ipv4/6) subscription alongside ASN registration.

    Probably because ARIN isn't RIPE.

  • sixsix Member

You don't need a LIR to register an ASN on ARIN - you can register yourself.

    ^this

ARIN doesn’t have the concept of resource sponsorship.

If you need ARIN asn. As mentioned above: pay the $50 one time signup fee with ARIN (Org creation) and apply for your own asn directly with them.

    Thanked by 2MikeA SalmonBrandon
  • My bad. I copy pasted that message directly from someone else without checking. We already have applied for org creation last night.

    I'm sorry once again

And also looking for RIPE /24 subnet for leasing monthly for less than 110$/m.
So if you have conditions please DM me.

@IPXO increased our cost per IP a few times. They can double the price of range within a year with few more increases. I have received one email for each increase that looked like a promotional email that I didn't bother to read for those increases.

I just found out that I was paying way more than what I signed up for a few days ago.

... and if you dare to disagree with abusive costs increase, they threaten you with fines applied to your account.

Proceed with caution with this middleman (IPXO). You may end up having your business to hurt.
    Go with a LIR directly.

Just asking for trouble if you're looking to do long-term business. Truly.

It's like for those fly-by-night hosts that need a quick /24 for a couple of months and that's it. The whole way that they built the system works against people who seek to do long-term business, IMHO. Not to mention the completely inept support people...

IPXO operates as a marketplace, where prices are determined by the IP holder and current availability. To maintain a consistent price, we strongly recommend signing a commitment. Otherwise, the IP holder assumes the risk of you terminating your lease at the end of the billing cycle and may adjust the price accordingly.

@Andreix said: ... and if you dare to disagree with abusive costs increase, they threaten you with fines applied to your account.

There are no fines for opting out of the price increase. Without a commitment, you are free to terminate your lease at the end of the billing cycle.

We do have very strick KYC rules, and all IPs are continuously monitored. There has been some comments on LET about this as well from companies we decided not to do business with due to high risk.

are you really complaining about the penalty for subnet that you placed on IPXO for lease and now want to cancel from their customer in the middle of the lease? You can terminate without any penalties giving 3 month notice. I think it is fair to penalize such terminations as you would hurt IPXO reputation also hurt their customer's business that is leasing your subnet.

    No it's not.
When I placed the subnet on their plaform, fees were X.
When IPXO decided to transform their fees to X+Y% starting from 20 Jan XXXX, I can not be forced to accept to be extra-charged, when we already have an ongoing contract.

    We could:

    a) keep the existing contract, as we do not agree with the new one
    b) keep the contract without the extra charge until the client releases the IPs then I retract.
    c) If you enforce a new tax on me, which we did not agreed on signup, I have the right to retract from the contract at the date "new" one would produce effects.

You cannot unilaterally decide new contract terms, without other party's acceptance, then attempt a fine to constrain the other party into acceptance.
Those kind of attitudes should have ended in post WW2 Germany, when the world embraced democracy.

  • eimiseimis Member, LIR

yeah, remember that, wasn't too happy about that too, thought it is recent situation, but still it was only 5% and you could terminate after 3 months. So I just terminated them properly according to the terms and forgot about that.

In the beginning there were a lot of bad actors, but at some point my subnets were leased out by long term clients and I have literally nothing to do about them just receive the payouts. But currently prices are down too much on the platform, so not adding new subnets and it is more profitable to lease directly for the clients.

Anyway to be honest I'm happy about the services they provide. If the average lease prices would go to Heficed level (like 2022) then I would put my new subnets there again
