  Oh, it's much more than a TV show. It's a master class on human behaviour and psyhcology.

  Interesting.. I enjoy shows that transcend multiple levels like that. I need to watch this for sure when/if i get a new telly

  Maybe start the TV off with something positive or a feel-good

  Yeah they have surprisingly good prices for a brick and mortar store. The best part is I can drive 15 minutes and get one locally. Like last Christmas (Dec 2023) when RPI 5 was back ordered until like March everywhere online, I was able to grab an RPI 5 a few days before Xmas.

  I try to buy anything I can from MicroCenter instead of online to hopefully help them stay in business.

  I have the habit of checking US prices just for fun every time I get some tech here locally in India. Blows my mind every time seeing how cheap they are in the US.

  There a lot of things which are cheaper in India too though

  my lights? they use 3-pin DMX/XLR cables. Protocol is DMX.

  Well the problem is that SeratoDJ (the program i'm using) doesn't expose any information about the current playing music.

  Well of course i could make a system to turn on the lights based on the tones it hears, but it will have a small delay and is very basic.

  Only option really is SoundSwitch, but it's paid.
  That reddit post is useful, but a lot of people are also talking about how other programs can do it. Sad thing is that my hardware is limited to this program.

  I wish I could be of more help, but I haven't done any DJ work in probably 10 years, and back then I used VirtualDJ. I don't remember how we had the club lights synced with that either.

  lol, it wasn't basic - it was when different skills were needed other than the digital "auto-beatmatch" buttons of today's DJ controllers

  There's Revolt Chat, which is an open source alternative but they had issues when Discord was banned in Turkey and other countries and then those people all migrated in mass to it

  Yes, alpine uses way less resources compared to other OS.
  My idle vps used about 32 MB ram and 36 MB ram with nginx installed.

  And it uses a ton less disk space too
