It's also a change of marketing focus. I brought up the idea of just getting half racks in both locations, but then do we really want to do 3 mail locations?
Francisco
No.
Could it be possible to as you expand on locations keep mail merged to 1 location per continent basically?
So even on Swiss web, mail's in NL.
Its just adding expenses imo. Technically little reason tgaf where its. Hosted
But yeah, as Sara said, hard to jusify several Europe locations cost-wise. Full rack is king.
It's probably around active 8 VPS and 2 dedis for my company and maybe 12 personal VPS.
You only deduct 8 out of 20 VPS? Noob
MORE DEDUCTIBLES TO THE PEOPLE
yeah my company needs this 3/yr VPS for operations

Yeah, annoyingly I have 4 Greencloud machines on 3 year deals that are in my personal pile but have only actually been used for work purposes. But I got them just before I opened the company and I forgot to ever pro-rata bill them to the company. Now it's a bit late as the transactions were all 2 financial years ago! I'll change them to the company's name when I renew.
i will say racist homophobic ableist classist sexist things if you don't speak properly
Yes, maybe both.
I feel you
I even made sure to have my $3/3yr email in the companies name
pls go hed cuz my it s wont it s speek correkt regrounds

Nothing to worry about. Decent number of servers. I added 2 ks-le-e servers as DNS slaves today. I sometimes wonder if that's worth the spend. Hate to idle at 100%.
Please someone translate this for @Rubben english isn’t my native language
you are now giving me $3.50 pay up hoe
Recurring?
yes
That's in danish, your native tongue.
Yeah, that's a total waste for DNS. I have a purple D 1-core thing from 3 years ago with a GB5 of about 400 that does DNS (although only 1 of 4) and secondary MX. I don't think the CPU's ever gone above 2% apart from when it runs its daily borg backup.
I accidentally idled my company Hybula (€33/3m) for about 18 months because I'd forgotten I'd bought it and not deployed anything onto it until I did my FY2 accounts and found all the invoices.
Similarly, (and to bring the discussion back to topic), I had my BuyVM LUX node in my personal pile and idled that for nearly 2 years. I didn't forget - every month I saw the invoice e-mail and thought that would be the month I'd start using it, and then I'd get busy. It's now been running an extra haproxy for the company websites for the last 4 months, so I guess I could legitimately move that over to the company accounts as well, but again out of laziness, I hadn't got around to it yet.
Oh, and then there was the HostSlick machine (personal) which failed during a re-install in the first week, and I contacted support and forgot all about it, so it didn't even have a bootable OS for over 9 months. Mostly because that was a random BF special that I never planned to buy and forgot to enter into my spreadsheet or DNS and only when I tried to register a HostSlick account for some other reason, I discovered I already had one and a $7.xx/y special.
I think that's right, and likely the best play. Likely something like this:
Those that really want CH can move over.
Francisco
@Francisco it’s a good setup because you might add more locations further on without wanting mail there either.
And now in spanish:
Francisco
@Francisco please in swedish too so that I may understand
I never got the announcement email referenced in the first post (checked the spam folder too), was it already sent?
