Planning to create an application: Saving directly from web to Copy.com

Hi Guys

I am planning to create an web application where you can connect to your copy.com account (via oAuth - same like fb-connect, not username/password), and then you can give any remote file URL and that file will be saved to your copy.com account. This way you can transfer your remote backups (upto 1GB) to your copy.com accounts without any hassle.

Benefit: You can save any file, as long as it is accessible via http(s), without downloading it to your machine and then uploading. And as the connection will be done using oAuth, your don't need to give your username and password to anyone :)

Do you think there will be any use of it?
