I thought tomorrow or next week for migration, re-read again, next 6 months....
Enjoy while it last
No, we need to setup all the new gear, network, etc, so we can live migrate as much as possible.
Francisco
InnoDB right now: 😅😅😅
Congratss!!!
We do live migrations every single day without a hitch to rebalance stock, etc. we’ve been doing it for years and have even done some cross country moves before.
It works well.

Hope buyvm avail in singapore and offer dedicated server integrated to bgp 😉
Why do you have his naked photo on your profile?
aslo need it
Hi @Francisco, slightly surprised to hear this news. Let me begin by thanking you for the amazing service you've delivered to (the insignificant) me and many others. I am a happy customer so far.
A couple of questions if you would not mind:
1. It seems the discussion around DMCA in NL is not clear. Since I just renewed my yearly plan a month ago, would you/the new company be considering offering pro-rated refunds if current customers are not happy with the relocation?
2. I would imagine the my.frantech.ca console and everything will remain the same, rather than being merged into the new company?
3. Any chance the new hardware will fix the ~20MB/s HDD speed in LUX slabs?
Thanks again, and I am happy for you for landing seemingly a good deal!
so it didn't happen 6 months later ?
and downtime,compensation,etc still unclear ?
it would be great if you can prepare us in advance the vps to use for 3 days so we can migrate the data to prevent long downtime.
Congratulations!
I'm really surprised on this. 0_o
I can't find the right words for it. Because I always thought it's a profitable, working solution, business.
I'm always worry (as a customer) when a company has been acquired. Most of the times doesn't good for the end users (in long time).. They start with closing their most interesting location (LUX).
Luckily I have no services from LUX location. I told the same when Inception Hosting has been acquired.. (While others sent the "congrats" posts). and now.. they closing.
But hope this time we will be more lucky
Buyvm is very profitable
lux was going to happen regardless of any buy out. I’ve been complaining about it on discord for the past year at least.

Our contract ends June 1st or so.
We will provision new gear and live migrate. No ip change and for most users not even a reboot is required.
Slabs make it harder but I’ll push for more slab nodes to be turned up so I can migrate as many people as we can
Francisco
I hope so. I'll be holding off on buying new servers for now. Waiting to see the long-term consequences of acquisition.
512MB LU Where
No worries at all.
See you at crane
Francisco
Glad to hear that. Any Expected date?
Eh I wish I had one. Things have been … interesting with quadranet at the moment. They’re going through a rough patch so work has been slow.
Francisco
+1
can't resist to post this

reguards
afaik they don't allow transfers for 512MB ones
G-Corelabs if you need Luxemburg.
3.25€/m for 512MB not remotely cheap to 2.50$/m though.
Quite good price considering the location tbh

port speed meh
Congratulations buddy! Glad to hear people should be in good hands.
Well deserved.
Congratulations on collecting all the epic crane 512MBs! I only have one LU's crane 512MB!
512s are $2/m, and for most they paid $20/year
Glad people have an option if they need.
Francisco
200Mbit unlimited, that is more than @Francisco was offering for 2.50$/m
Thanks sir, hope all is well.
