Send us a video when you got that sweet music bumpin to the lights!
Well the problem is that SeratoDJ (the program i'm using) doesn't expose any information about the current playing music.
Well of course i could make a system to turn on the lights based on the tones it hears, but it will have a small delay and is very basic.
Hallo y'all!
Still trying to fix Jellyfin
https://reddit.com/r/lightingdesign/comments/1auh7y7/how_to_sync_serato_and_lights/
Only option really is SoundSwitch, but it's paid.
That reddit post is useful, but a lot of people are also talking about how other programs can do it. Sad thing is that my hardware is limited to this program.
Hey deus! Welcome back friend!
ha, just switch to plex!
hi there!
I wish I could be of more help, but I haven't done any DJ work in probably 10 years, and back then I used VirtualDJ. I don't remember how we had the club lights synced with that either.
Agreed.
I tried for the longest time to make either Emby or Jellyfin work for me, as I don't really like Plex's business model, but in the end it just works so I that's what I use.
had virtual dj! I have that as well. Throw back to the simplier times!
In a way you get what you pay for in plex
Money helps drive some innovation. Doesnt apply everywhere but it definitly helps.. Some other open source projects obviously do quite well without that model
I cannot get my static site generator to work with rust, its killing meee
Yes, that's what I had been trying for many days; just checking throughout the day if there might be stock in Los Angeles. Dustin was kind enough to set it up manually for me.
Time to sleep!
Good night bas! we will see ya tomorrow for some more partying!
RACKNERD HYPE CREW FOR GIVEAWAYS!
Same, I wish IBM would have left CentOS as it was too.
I enjoy Alpine and would suggest giving it a try.
It uses OpenRC instead of SystemD, so that is different, but here's a cheat sheet to help you with that https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/OpenRC_to_systemd_Cheatsheet
I'm not too sure. There are many projects on Github, Gitlab, and Codeberg which have Docker files you can check out.
No, Docker will use whatever is in the container.
Alpine uses OpenRC, which many projects use in Docker containers (such as Gitea).
@dustinc any chance of adding Alpine Linux 3.21 to the Racknerd ISO bank?
It could be warmer!
chitreeee whats up!
Yeah im mostly upset because i got very fluent in it then its suddenly gone. Need to relearn the details of a new distribution now
lots of alpine love was going on around here the other day! My next setup will use it if i can get that 2.5GB setup in LA...
That would be cool
I found a couple the other day for setting up some things, i.e. minecraft. I think it just comes down to, I want to deploy 'x' and then checking how the source for the docker file.
Also just recently learned about codeberg. Seems a decent amount of rust projects use it.
Because Alpine is awesome!
Got it.. that makes sense.. recently learned of gitea yesterday. Also now just googling it again, i see its written in go. Very neat..
