Bump
Really liking my IncogNET VPS's so far. They have a lot of great features and a really nice client panel UI.
Glad you liked it
so what do you plan to do with the vps ?
I mean same. If I didn’t I wouldn’t keep getting them
I think I'm going to put Gitea on one of them, then probably connect the others as Gitea Action Runners for running CI/CD pipelines for my personal programming projects.
I'm thinking of also moving my ValutWarden instance off my local LAN into one of the VPS's so I can access it when not at home.
Well thats a great use case right there
, better than people idling them
God damn stop posting things that makes sense, it's hard to follow those up.
Pointless bump
Don't worry, they will spend a good amount of time idling as well loll.
What are you going to do with them?
for me I did have a plan about having vaultwarden hosted on a 512mb one but was unsuccessful to grab one so will wait to grab one or just wait for 1776

dunno what else to host, I know I can host other apps too but was searching for something like that could be better put to be used here
Better catch 1776 fast next July
That's a good use for the 512mb. VaultWarden doesn't use many resources.
Its January 6th, I feel like I'll be placed higher on a list if I reintroduce limited 1776 stock today.
1.6$/y
LOL
Flash deal ideas right here!
Or even $6.1/y for the 512mb one I would really be glad if there was a deal like this 😁😉
What do you all think the market is for VMs with dedicated disks?
I probably wouldn't do it for IncogNET because I don't want to have a bunch of different products that are only available in certain locations and not other locations, but for https://kcho.st was thinking of doing something like VMs with dedicated single HDD disks (12Tb?).
I mean it might be good but really costly, not because there won't be people buying it but I won't be able to buy one 😆. I mean it's good but is there any problem with having smaller amount of shared storage spaces? also people buying them might be niche but regular customer too since they have such large storage they wouldn't want to shift too randomly
I think there is a market for that. Especially with a VM with like a 10gb NVMe to boot O/S and a separate HDD attached. Good for backing up other servers and/or storing large files.
Tough crowd for this here.
Maybe also a new
🙏
2345code with a few uses forUS-{MO,WA}-KVM-4096Probably right.
In any case, I do have plans to do some storage stuff in KC in 2025. But looking at some hardware configs, thought it may be neat to offer something a bit unique and do dedicated drives. It's just a good central US location that makes a suitable backup point for almost anywhere else in the US.
1776 + HD disk for sure will success
Depends on cost, per usual.
If it's competitive and has sufficient bandwidth, then will likely end up with piracy issues. Would be like a alternate to the now closed Chmuranet.
If it's expensive, might not be as popular for non-business as it wouldn't be redundant. But could be popular if people could just add many drives without low limit.
It would be nice solution for MinIO.
a historic day indeed!
Bumppppppp
interesting. epyc 9xx5 and 12TB hdd why not...
Pointless bump as this topic is still on first page!
Doin my part to keep it on page 1 as well
Top spot for IncogNET!
