Don't worry you are talking to another. Get a VPN or if you have the money some proxy first but make sure they allow P2P.

Oh yes, you can. I believe they allow P2P traffic. But, do confirm. If they do, just follow their instructions to install and connect on Linux - https://nordvpn.com/download/linux/
Advanced setup like switching to wireguard etc. will need further steps, if the official client doesn't have the option to switch, etc. but the above will have you setup enough to be connecting via the VPN for P2P.
