Looking for small VM at a European location

Hello,

I am looking for the following. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Virtualization: KVM or Xen
Cores: 1
RAM: 512M or more
Disk space: 5GB or more
Disk type: SSD/NVMe
Bandwidth: 0.5TB or more
Port speed: 100Mbps as minimum, 1Gbps would be nice
DDoS protection: not needed
Number of IPv4 address: 1
IPv6: Yes
Location: Anywhere in Europe
Budget: No more than EUR 10 per year
Billing period: yearly

If the billing period would be longer, for lower per year fee, I would be willing to consider also.

    Hello,

    1GB RAM
    10 GB DISK SPACE
    2 TB TRANSFER
    1 IPv4/v6 Included
    $12.00 per year

Locations to choose from: UTAH, LONDON, FRANKFURT?

  • I honestly wouldn't bother. Any type of virtualized machine that you get for that price, especially with IPv4 (!) will be unsustainable and you don't want that. Not just because it will go off randomly, or because the provider will disappear, but because it's causing unnecessary headaches in your life.

I don't know what country you are from, but 10 EUR is now cheaper than a .COM domain name, and it's extremely hard, if not impossible to get a legitimate VPS for that price -- at least annually...

Try and see if maybe @AezaHost have some discounts available. If anything, they have proven to have a rock-solid reputation and can withstand most if not any type of attacks. But, the pricing will be difficult to match, I think.

@AvaHosting: does that plan have IPv6? The pony told me no but let me know if he needs a beating.

  • Just to update, I proceeded with a VM at h2.nexus for this purpose. There is a setup fee of EUR 5 to start, but only EUR 0.50 each month.

Don't trust an unknown h2.nexus, its site is a quite strange.

By default this plan has no IPv6, correct?
Maybe it could be reconfigured to have a /64 by default.

Yes, we offer IPv6 but needs to be requested.
The answer we gave above is for such plan.

  • If you can go to 12€, you could check Netcup, Strato, Ionos. They have stable 1€/month VPS.
