Pfft, I used to get 10/1 that would barely work. 5G internet started to become popular and have been on that ever since, a game changer from a 10/1 that worked 80% of the time.

yeah we had ADSL sitting at a steady 15/5 up until about 2014 or something when we finally got to move to Hybrid Fibre Coxial and got 100/100 for the first time in our lives, then the NBN came along..

created work order? got the chicken?

no work order needed because my based providers see me yapping in a megathread about trying to get an iGPU working and reach out to me an hour later to ask if i got it working

You big big beans.... why you want iGPU? running llm? crypto mining? :joy:

    emby/jellyfin encoding

ohhhh, wait you don't do that at home?.............. seriously?

not for friends and family, australian upload speed sux dix i don't need someone maxing out my bandwidth because they want to watch something on my emby library

it makes sense now.... i wouldn't host one either with my current speeds, might do it if upgraded to 300mbps or more symlink.

yeah i have 250 down 25 up its not great

25up is too low..... it should be atleast half of the downlink if not symmetrical.

yeah unfortunately i got no control over it unless i go to $300+ per month business fiber link which costs an extra $5000 on my end for them to run the fiber
