    Oh, that's cool. MyBB was my favourite5-6 years ago. But, recently, I switched to Flarum and gotta say it's good.

    Flarum was awesome. I tried it and used to provide feedback when they launched beta. But later stopped using it and forgot about it.

    You mean I was a part of dev team? no, I was just testing it for my purpose, and used to provide my opinions in their forum. Later I don't have any use for the forum software, So I stopped using it.

    Oh I was just confirming if tou left cause you thought Flarum was not that great.

    No flarum was good. That was something different and modern at that time, when other board softwares looked like clutter and outdated.

    Oh yes. The only issue with them I face is their plugin development method. Not really used to it.

    With AI, I guess nothing is safe from obsoletion.

    We will become like machine operators, using AI.. People stopped thinking after Gen AI and LLMs. Even I used to think a lot for logics in coding.. now just asking ChatGPT or Claude.. and it generates the logic or give me ideas. :p

    haven't checked it recently. There were no plugins at that time. Basic falrum code, that regulary updated and I tested it, and used on some website i created at that time, to provide shopping coupons and deals... later dropped both. :D

    I have a perfect domain for the coupon stuff? wanna do something on it?

    Ha ha no time now. I was addicted to deals and mistakes at that time (hence my jaw dropping deals i bought). Now don't have time, and lots of telegram groups made the forums obselete (except giants like desidime).

    haha that's a name i missed, the name is perfect if we do some automation or post deals/coupons on niche. :wink:

    Both are good but requires too much resources and ofcourse not at all beginner friendly. I tried discourse when it just launched back in the days imo was a solid one... just hard to setup in minutes will require atleast 2-3 hours before you can start configuring the forum for good.

    Now discourse can be deployed using Docker within 10 minutes. Nodebb requires fewer resources and can run on 1GB of memory.

    It sure can but currently i won't be going with either of them, my requirements depend on heavy customisations and i doubt i will get much freedom with discourse and nodebb or just say bye byte to updates if i am to do that. I am sure they are both improved compared to last time i checked them. Will do a thorough test and see if they fit my needs.

    Yaa, I get that but like loosing so many deals it's just sometimes exhausting 😔 Well let's see what the future holds
