serverpoint is the one who has left my server active for 3 months without payment, idgaf about them coming after me
I got blacklisted by hetzner for not paying the last bill after server closure request. Balance was 6.64 €.
Like 5 years later I paid the remaining balance with no interest charged and they un-blacklisted me (hopefully)

I also found my emails from 2012 an 2014 with Hetzner where I had to send photo of front and back side of my ID and payment method (credit card) via email. Good old' archaic times.

When i registered with Hetzner they gave option to send ID or make €20 deposit with PayPal, I made deposit and there was no problem after that

i used to have a hetzner account, verified the same way
it got closed for an unpaid invoice of 0.25 euro
I had a Nocix dedi few years ago, equipment was old but support was good
Also I'm just happy that nowadays we have more alternatives to big hosting providers (which are still big) that doesn't act like dad of your ex-gf.

It was possible for me reach them after sending like 10 emails to get a reply finally stating how much I owe and where to pay it. I sent my invoice number to [email protected] and asked how can I send the payment and what's the final amount.
Meanwhile: I logged in to Scaleway like a week ago and paid a invoice from 2017. No issues, no fee added
They did charge a verification fee for the card though for like 10x the invoice. Don’t think it was refunded but didn’t check recently

i've always wanted to try scaleway but the boxes are always cheaper from oneprovider so i end up just buying through them

With IPv4 though they’re a really shitty deal.
But IPs are flexible so if you need IPv4 for some one-time things you can assign, do what you gotta do, remove.
