Is under $8/year vps with at least 1gb of ram possible? (preferably in the US or Canada)
Was thinking about virmach, but i heard terrible reviews about them.

    I don't think you will find anything that cheap by a reputable host, unless it's a low-stock flash sale and you get lucky.

    If you could up the budget to like $10 then that's more likely.

    You could always hold out for some New Years offers though

    Vps.blackfriday is simply virmach which i mentioned in the post, but I heard tons of terrible reviews about them. Makes me hesitant to buy them.

    check with @nohavps … there was a flash sale for $12 / year with Ryzen 9950x … it is bit over $8/year but 9950x has amazing computing power

    Also, check with @kuroit for any promotional offer … another solid provider with excellent vps performance

    Did you check the ipv4 location in the YABS … vps is in Europe

    Oops, my bad. I was looking at the server speed tests to Los Angeles.

    Are you sure the server is located in the US? 165ms ping to Los Angeles and 8ms ping to Amsterdam makes me think its located in the EU.

    Edit: Just saw your edit. I maybe should have clarified in my original post. I need the server to be physically located in the US or Canada. I don't care about what geoip databases return

    I had vps from @CharityHost_org before upgrading to bigger vps recently and canceled that vps
