Ofcourse..... For backups.......
And almost every app.... They are annoying ffs.
Always the good ol backup ๐
Thats what we can't figure out.
The funniest thing is that web ads pay almost nothing...
Hmm..you've home lab running 24x7 for other purposes anyway.. makes sense.
Backup for the backup...
They just want to monetize everything. They know the demand. These are not optional services, we need to use them anyway.. so.
Btw, Jellyfin or Plex, which is better?
It was good back then. Don't know now, haven't tried for some time.
Will put my best foot forward.
Jellyfin, all the way. Plex, Ig, is better in some aspects if you buy their sub.
Imagine booking a train ticket and see ads while doing so... it's annoying and turns me off i buy tickets from hdfc due to this
I see... I'm about to install it in on of my VPS to host public domain movies I like.
my old school SMB works bettter
interesting.... got enough bandwidth to cover that? they just go hot overtime
Okay, just aheadsup. Assuming most movies are copyrighted, might be a good diea to check with your VPS provider as well.
I hate the monopoly of irctc in the first place. That service is bad, and they block accounts as well for no reasons. And sometimes it logs you out while booking..
Samba is good as a media server. Infact, used that alone as my media and file server solution before switching to Jellyfin for media server. It make arranging and sorting the media very easy.
Thats secondary. What about the copyright strike.
IRCTC - Irritating RCTC. I personally know no end consumer who has successfully booked a Tatkal ticket until afew years ago.
those issues are known without fixes... happens all the time, using other vendors is fine
that is but i am not into streaming media from home, rest is handled by OTT and a JioTV instance running on my homelab, it's enough for now i guess
public domain movies......
due to bots and exploits which they only agreed after SC pressured them, talk about ignorance
Oh, I am interested in the JioTV instance thingy. What does that mean? I am just curious.
Oh yes, there was a time when only those DTP centres could book tickets.
Anyone have a recent experience of domain transfer? How much time did it take?
kk. I read it like he wants to host/stream movies in domain publicly.
it's just a jiotv_go running in docker so i can stream it on my TV or PC when needed with hls
