All that talk of batteries and inverters yesterday and I dunno if I jinxed it somehow. @TrK, I guess my battery is shot and might require a replacement very soon. My computer went poof 3 times for no apparent reason, even when no other heavy load machinery was plugged in. If it's still under warranty, I'll have to get the same 200/220Ah battery. Else, will take your suggestion and invest in 2x 150Ah batteries.

Inverter battery? they usually don't go suddenly like that. Are you maintaining it properly? like using distilled water regularly etc?

Yup, refill distilled water properly at regular times, give it a clean from time to time and all the works. But, fortunately, it's still under warranty.

How many years you've been using it? usual life is around 4 years I think.

Only 2 years. Got 4 years of warranty.

Btw whats exactly happening? sometimes its the inverter having some problems, not the battery.

You guys are the experts, it seems. Just got in touch with the dealer. He seems to think the inverter is the most probably cause of the issue as well. He asked me to look for any error codes next time it happens and get back to him.

Inverters go busted due to heavy load, circuit goes kapoor... Most prolly it is a square wave one man i hare these

Circuit Kapoor? Must be the new nepo in town. Anyways,it's a pure sine wave inverter.

Sorry auto correct in works, meant kapoot.... Pure shine wave ... Are you sure you said the deal assembled it for you...

No, I had another electrician check it as well. It's pure sine wave. He's a local assembler who has made a name for himself in the area. Literally a call away as well. My relatives have bought from him for over 2 decades now.

Hmm interesting... I haven't seen one from my area will be interesting to check it out ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Not sure if every area has one. He is a unicorn I guess. Even programmed the board for the inverter himself. And, most of the time he doesn't even care if the inverter is out of warranty. He will come and repair it for you free of cost, if it's something that doesn't require expensive components.

Yah, haven't seen a square wave in the past 5 years or so. They are much more difficult to repair and are much more prone to damage due to trivial issues. I believe every major manufacturer has obsoleted them for the most part, unless it has a specific use case, I am unaware of.

Yup, I have heard of ways some inverters were disguising themselves as pure sine wave a few years ago. Fortunately, there are ways to detect them as well. Whn I ha dthe 3rd party electirican at home, I had him explain to me how it could be confirmed. He did explain in great details, but, it was years ago, and that portion of my memory is now taken up by PHP.

He is a liar, he can literally fix the batteries inverters just play thing for him...

Yah, he literally makes em at his home. TrK does too. He uses Chivas instead of distilled water though. Gives the batteries a boost.

If you want to give the boost to a battery once or twice a year add 1250g sulphuric acid mixed with distilled water in ratio of 2:8 2 being the acid 8 being the water

At this point, I am not even sure if you are kidding or not.

    It works

eBay it! BTW, did you get to try WooCommerce yet?

naw not yet, not enough time to check it out as of yet

Yah, I'd suggest you take your time. It can be pretty frustrating in the beginning, and in the middle, well, all of it. But, it's good enough for most use cases.

Oh I see. I'd rather just upgrade the inverter at this stage than have it repaired.

Just check whats the issue first and update here. May be @TrK can give better suggestions or advice regarding a new one.

He will come and repair it for you free of cost, if it's something that doesn't require expensive components.

you guys really gotta be resourceful over there eh? Anyone out here would just pitch the board and buy a new one which i think is pretty wasteful

It's not always been about being resourceful. When it comes to makeshift skills and talent, Ig, Indians are just better, and maybe that's why we have very little generated e-waste within India.

He is a liar, he can literally fix the batteries inverters just play thing for him...

Can't even fix my bike battery. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

You can just get the tools and 1250g acid(keep everyone away from it and take proper safety measures handling it).

    It works
