I don't think 5-6ms is that much, in any case it is due to the fact that the traffic passes through the Anti DDoS protection provided by an external partner, all the rest of our connections are made via Cross Connection in Layer 2.

Not so long ago, I was using a hosting that has protection from the exact same provider and there were no issues. Even if it goes via a different DC in the same city, it shouldn't add that much. So it's concerning.

As someone interested in having a test probe in Frankfurt .. can you share in which datacenter your servers are located? I see tests to IPs in your AS taking 3-5ms from our Telia port in Frankfurt. I am looking for something irrelated to the “usual suspects”, like Hetzner ;-)

Edit: IPv4 is normal now.
I'll keep monitoring. I'm on a wired fibre connection and latency to other servers is fine
